it's alright ....not sure I would smoke it next to Johnny Law like alot of the posts I've read...I need to have someone tell me if they can smell it while I smoke it :bong:before I do that!
all I can say is give it a try take your two biggest cola buds and go for it...like they say some people like it others don't care for it I like the novelty of it and being able to cure fast... maybe do like I did take some and water cure it and by the time your air cure is done drying (apx 7 days) and ready for the 2-4 week cure stage you'll have some water cure ready for smoking while you wait....

Good thread man. I'm going to try this on some of my next harvest. The watered cured buds look just as dank as the normal ones. Great job!

wow.

check out the color difference.

all in 7 days? then straight to jar + burping?

this is something to try for sure.

I guess it all depends on what you like.... smoke was/is good, buds are hard, if your looking for the 'taste' of the meds it doesn't have it ...give it a try if your curious... I'm sure you'll smoke it either way...if you have any questions let me know

all in 7 days...... I did not dry just went from a 2 min. hydrogen peroxide bath to the water pot for seven days changing the water daily keep uncovered!...then you need to do a fast dry to prevent any mold....didn't really put it in a jar to age cure with a hydrometer @ 60-65% I would have liked to with a little orange peel ... I've just been smokin it while my air cure cures at the 60-65% for 2-4 weeks...if it makes it that long...I just did the water cure out of curiosity, and I wanted some quick smoke so it was either just dry some quickly or water cure....cool?

Heres a couple pics of my Air Cured OG Kush #18. I air cured about 2/3s, the other 1/3 I water cured. All the smell was removed except this really nice orange smell. Smokes very smooth. The 2nd pic is Air Dried and Water cured.

Hey man how does the smell come out After the 7 day cure? Does it come close to the Air cured 3 month old smell?

im with the above a stash lasting 3 months is a while. As for how is the smell. All the smell is gone cept this nice citrus smell. Ive smoked both and both about if not the same high. If time is not a issue I would still cure via air drying but so you can have a stash or sample try the water curing method, or just throw in a handfull of popcorn bud to use that way.

It looks different and some might be adverse to doing it that route but often in life were conditioned by the way its always been or we simply do not know and use that as a reference. Take Orange Juice for instance. Ever wonder how you get OJ year round anywhere yet all the trees world wide are juiced about the same month? Made the news a about a year ago on there hidden little secret. They juice and pulp all the oranges roughly the same time. They separate both. The pulp is flash frozen, the juice is put in huuuge cyro-vacced silos that are kept slightly above freezing. The extreme cold and vaccum suck all flavor out and what you have is tasteless juice basically. So the flavor industry provides the industry with the flavor profile requested and its introduced back into the orange juice at bottling time. Then dethawed pulp is added as well. Thats why Minute Maid tastes different then Tropicana and so forth. Need any proof juice some oranges yourself and try to make it taste like the store bought kind. You will have a very hard time doing that.

Anyhow good example on how your conditioned to think a certain thing should be a certain way when it really is not that way at all. Were used to bud looking a certain way either because thats the way we first were introduced to it, movies, pictures etc.

I like both air cured and water cured bud personally. Also some dispensaries are actually selling water cured bud for patients who want no chemicals organic or non organic in what they smoke. Water curing is the only method to do that really. You can flush but even with flushing in tests theres still various chemicals in your bud...all air dried bud is is most of the water evaporated out. With water curing water replaces the fluid in the bud and in that process its exchanged then you dry how you normally would dry or use a dehydrator on its lowest setting.

what do you think about adding some apple, or orange peel to the jar after the water cure is done to give it some flavor...also do you think it will get better if you age cure it after you water cure...ever try either?
