problem- pale yellow dying leaves getting worse by the hour

medium- FFOF 20% perlite

container- some air pots and some fabric bags

light- 6 qb96 @420 watts 24 inches avg ab canopy

Feed- mega crop one part and sweet candy @ 500 ppm - recharge- coconut powder- aloe Vera powder- molasses a few times also. But in the past week or two I’ve only fed mega crop.

strains- HSOblue dream , chemdogging x cdlc Barney’s farm lsd

age- BD are 6 1/2 weeks, cdxcdlc 5 1/2 weeks , lsd 5 1/2 weeks

climate- day temp 81 night temp 70 Rh day 55 night gets ups to 65 Rh sometimes 20 on 4 off schedule

water- tap @6.4 6.5

I have no clue what’s going on the one blue dream and lsd and cdlc all looked amazing a week ago. One of the blue dreams has been getting pale for a couple weeks now. I ordered a CWP accurate 8 soil probe last night it will be here wed. I have invested so much time with these gals I just want to get them looking like they are supposed to. Is there any way that it’s my lights? Do I not have them turned up enough or? Is it a lock out? Or just under fed?

Yes I think the Accurate 8 is a good investment here because my first question is what is the PH in the root zone? We will know soon. In the mean time how do you handle run-off?

Yes I can’t wait to get my hands on the accurate 8. I’ve only watered to run off a handful of times. I just checked the run off of the blue dreams ab a hour ago and it was 5.9 and the run off ppm was 540. Going in it was 6.4 and 540 ppm. I’ve never watered the other ones till run off. So if that’s a accurate reading I have a problem right?

Those are good numbers on this plant. Is it having the same problem as the others?

If you are skilled at feeding your soil you do not need to water to run-off. It is just that most new growers over-feed and salt build-up is a common problem that is mitigated by run-off. Once it is in the pot water is the only way to get it out.

It is having the same problems as the other plants. I have only fed it three times. The FFOF lasted ab 5 weeks.

I’m glad that those are good numbers tho because that means we can narrow it down to it definitely being some type of deficiencies right?

You have yellowing between veins in older leaves progressing to the top. Throw in the purple stems + the fact that you are not feeding anything else till recently, all points to a magnesium deficiency.

I also hope you have water only days in between feeding. Try feeding MC as usual but add 1teaspoon of epsom salts for every gallon of MC solution. You can decrease amount as you see them get better. PH to 6.5 or slightly above since your runoff is on the lower side. Mg gets available best at 6.5 in soil.

You'll see improvements but affected leaves won't fully recover so look for progression on newer growths. It should stop progressing after a few days to a week.

I think it may be an overall under-feeding bump the MC to 3g per gallon and the Epsom won't hurt but I would go with half of that because the new MC has more than in the past.

Report the PH in the root zone as soon as you get the meter. Water all pots to 15% run-off.

I added 1 tsp Epsom in the feeding that I checked the run off on last night. There is a lot of purple pinkish maybe even kind of red stems. A couple of them have had purple stems since ab week 2 or 3. I have thought they were under fed or mg def. thank you for taking the time to help me out! I will do this when they get ready for a feeding. My meter will be here wed so that will be so helpful also.

They have gotten 50% worse. They look terrible. I did a slurrie last night and the ph was 5.6
