Gnome Automatics My Journey to ALF#5

Time for an update here kids.

The male for the selection is dropping pollen like no other. Its good times, but have to be careful that stuff can get you in trouble fast.

The male has gone through his torture; Transplant, soil dry out, light schedule change, over water, and my latest test lighting type LED/CFL/HID change. Hasnt turned on me nor has it stopped pollen production. Ill harvest as much from him as i can as he will be nice to have as a BX and strengthener in the line.

Now on to the other selected female that has made it through. Shes nice and balanced, has 9+ fans showing. Shes also rather bushy too. I look for three things, density, structure, and resin production. All express in phenotype, not all traits a visible to the eye we cant tell THC content nor CBD content by seeing them. So there are times there are traits that we pull out of blind luck, such as resin production and THC %.

My goal was to always use the eye to see the improved production and then measure tric per micron with a micro scope to decide if they are getting denser in production or not.

I love her health and her structure, so i have 2 females from the first round to go to F2 so i will have a nice blend to crack open for F3.

My brother, you have some of the nicest looking plants and a keen eye for selection.

Id love to watch you repro those, that is for sure and if you had a few extra if they pop im sure id give a left nut to get a few or do some swapping with you for sure.

Seems that you have quite a few strains there that are rather interesting, i too am a seed collector as well as preservationist. I like to bring out the older genetics over time to make them resurface as well as bring in some hidden traits that get lost over time. I also have my eyes on the purple peyote i got a nice pay this week and i think im going to order some of those pure beans to see what comes of them.

By all means I will have some with your name on them. Will let keep you apprised on the progress of them.Not sure if you are going to repro the PP so that you have more seeds to work with, if so, sure wouldn't mind having a few. I have some other gear may be of interest to you, but I will PM you on that.

Have a couple more photo to auto projects that I will be starting on in the next couple of months. Thinking seriously about using Black Dragon crossed to a very narcotic Pakistan landrace. I also do quit a bit of work with High CBD photos. I have a CBD Crew ZT chemotype cut that tests out at 9.5-15% CBD and 0 .35% THC.. Wanting to find a stable AF with some affy blood to take it fully auto and stabilize it..

Thank you sir I appreciate that, she is really building at the moment. Her lower branches are wanting to come out and I have been fan tucking so they get some decent light.

I appreciate the kind words, really means a lot coming from you. I want to work the PP so there will be two things that come from one female there. I already have the pollen I need for the initial F1 cross that makes the ALF#5. He is a beauty and he already has color to him and they are showing at natural temps. The evenings dip a little but nothing lower than 70, so I know the color is genetic and not a result of cold temps or nutrient def. Ill take that F1 left over pollen and hit the female of my choice PP on one side, and then on the other use a male PP to IBL the line for more seed. So id be happy to PM ya about both sides

The dragon comes from a pretty strong background of Affy genetics. The ALF#3 that she came from is one hell of a little plant. I have 3 of those seeds left and they have been in storage for a while, I also found some ALF#3xDragon so its really ALF#3xALF#4(alf#3xDC)

Wouldn't mind watching them and tagging along, the CBD thing interests me never had any high CBD stuff or even the concentrates.
