New Grower My hindu kush auto

I know its not cheap man, thats why im kind of figuring to save my money until i get a few decent grows under my belt, the soil is alright the soil it is in is searles premium potting mix i know theres abit of bark but i removed alot of the big stuff and it had slow release ferts so i removed all of that aswell soil seems light and airy i also added abit of perlite to the mix for air, and well yeah man i havent grown much im still learning i had 2 autos last year got 0.5 dry off each (sad but true haha) i did start them in small pots though so that didnt help at all i have seasol which is for nitrogen and potash for flowering, so do you think i can just use potash from start to finish as per tangs feeding guide? Cheers for the replies:)

I haven't read Tang's guides. If ya wanna save money growing in soil, get yer self some good quality tomato feed, that's what I use indoors and out. The potash will help if they pick up deficiencies during flowering (depending what they are) but I don't think it'll be enough on it's own.

These bitches get hungry!

@James 1234 you can go easyer and way cheaper with the fertilizer -just put some horn shavings availabe in regular garden centers and a some guano powder (there are ready mixes with stone flour sold as bio berry fertilizer) in your earth and watch how good this works. i would so say at least 2-3 hands full of horn and like 1-3 drinking cups full of guano. this should work pretty well and should be available almost everywhere for less money. And you just need to do it once. Rain will do the rest

Ohhh sorry haha my soil here is shitty man its all rocky underneath and a bitch to dig haha wow you didnt need to do anything thats sweet man, well i only get 12 hours a day atm here it should end up closer to 14 by summer its still spring here atm and i know you should give autos 18/20 hours a day so im not expecting to much

But you have chickens and sheep, you can use their shit too. chickenshit is like guano. horse shit will work too. just sayin'. Are you living in a city or at the countryside?

Get tomato feed then bud. You won't need anything for a while tho, there's plenty in the soil already for now. It's only when she looks hungry (turns a shade more yellowish) when you need to feed.

Another question, do you know what the pH of your water is and do you adjust it?

That's pretty important too. IME plants in pots will grow ok on straight tap water without adjusting the pH, but when you start adding nutrients it changes the pH and fooks the plant.

Something to bear in mind, they don't like change. [emoji41]

Cheers guys i do have chickens and horses and that here its just not many people sell it i do have a rural/hydro shop here which will stock probably everything i need though i will have to have a look they do have canna products but there fairly expensive here, and i dont have a ph meter i know im ment too though, i have a drop test though and do nutes tend to drop ph or raise it because if they drop the ph it may work in my favour, thanks guys also can i get a cheap meter of ebay or something that will work?

Heres an update from today being day 3, and the plants first full day of sunlight i was worried i was going to end up killing it in the direct sunlight but it seemed happy but it was also pretty windy today the plant ended up moving in the soil like forwards i was worried the wind had damaged it so i guess i will have to wait and see anyway heres some pictures
