my first runin with bud rot

went to check girls this morning<grown in a outbuilding w/tent>.found 1 of the oldest had some browning of bud leaves in main cola.i pulled here and bud around area is turning black and kind of mussy!!!i took main cola and cut cola up to remove damaged area--only a couple js worth! but now top will not finish.i left rest of plant growing.any ideas why this would happen?bud was coke can size and pretty tight.humidity is pretty low but temps have been up last week----80s on some days.it didnt look smokable or pretty-----would like to keep it from happening again

are you using natural light?
w/o a pic i can't tell the specific kind of rotting it was it could be from a number of reasons but look very similiar from nutrient def to light being too close if one was used or being in tent in natural light these are just a quick few to start
a pic would be the most helpful then things like ph could be discussed
like i said it can be from lots of reasons these are just a quick few

:howdy:Brv i had this on one of my grows so i went out and got a chep interior Dehumidifier to absorbs all the damp in me tent work gart i only use it in flowering time,this what i use and work gart

ive always read if it is bud rot not to just cut off the mold as it is in the whole cola atleast microscopically, spores etc, still very bad for the lungs.

luckily i cought it very early---a small area!!!

the point was that it can be basically invisible though to the naked eye we only see the fruiting bodies of the spores not the spores themselves, anyway do what you want id probably do the same just what ive read.

i thought bud rot started from the middle out? the rot ive seen did.. and i sucked.. wasnt mine tho.. friends house was so damp it did it i suppose. maybe use a filter to be on the safe side as i probly would be tempeted to smoke it too if i didnt have much..

i dunno if that would stop it but better than nothing probably. apparently edibles/cannabutter is still bad if its made from moldy bud too i think the only thing that people said was ok was bho or something similar. not sure though cant find the article.
