So I've started a hugelkultur project, super fun and so full of life. I'll start by saying that it is indoor and I left one end open so I could see the layers as they decay. I have a cover crop of mostly white clover and a little alfalfa. So far no deficiencies, I did have an issue with moisture as I let the logs dry a little after I dragged them out of the forest should have started while they were still damp. But the dryness caused some issues with the health of my cover crop at first but it has definitely come around. I buried the logs in stalks and branches of old ass mother plants and fan leaf debris along with compost and forest humus and castings and. A mix of coco and perlite, then a lastly my homemade super soil that I used on my outdoor Auto grow this last summer. But anyway I have planted some seeds and they are just over 2 weeks old and looking amazing, they are Bobby's widow by mandalorian genetics. Beautiful plants, healthy and happy. My intentions are to breed them forward to have a nice stock of Bobby's seeds, so I have killed all but one Male that I have selected as my stud and I only had one runt in the pack. I'm quite impressed with the growth rate and vigor of these plants. Super strong genetics, props to the mandalorian boys! I'm also a long time reader not a big poster, this is my first real post on the forum. I want to say how awesome this community is, and I look forward to sharing and contributing any info on organic growing I can!
