Day 70
Still having trouble deciding if they're ready or will be in the next few days...
It's day 11 of flush, and many of the upper leaves are yellowing (sugar leaves included), but none of them have really died off, not a single fan leaf. Some of them feel really dry and used up, but haven't actually died yet. I know a lot of people harvest based on the leaves and ignore trichs, but I find it odd that no leaves have really died off after 11 days of just plain water.
Ended up grabbing a 60-100x Microscope, and from what I can see, the trichs on the least mature plant appear to be around 80% cloudy, 20% clear with a few amber here and there. The smallest and most mature lady looks to be about 80% cloudy 10-15% amber with some clear trichs.
Also the two medium sized (and least mature) gals, still have quite a few white pistils, mostly only on the main cola, but some of the sugar leaves on the cola are yellowing. The white pistils are making me wonder if they might put on more weight, but they seem to be so fat already I'm not sure how that's possible.
She is the smallest and seems to be the furthest along, the sample I took from her on day 65 gave a great high and I thought it tasted pretty good. Took another yesterday, but can't really comment yet. The empty space just beneath the main cola is where the samples were taken from (removed an entire node from each side).
This plant is a lot larger, with few amber trichs and still around 15-20% clear. Still quite a few white pistils on the main cola, but I'm not sure if she's really going to put on any more weight.
