Lighting My First Grow - Northern Lights Blue

Looking fine Pal what exactly are you giveing them just now buddie and is the new growth nice and lush mate :peace:

Hey man, I gave them both a feed yesterday consisting of 3ml grow and half tspoon of epsom salts cos they hadn't had any for a few feeds,,Getting super annoyed its taken over a month to get my PH meter delivered but im assured it will be resolved on tuesday - been kinda winging it with the strips up til now :peace:

Edit: New growth is nice and dark green - looks very health around bud sites its just some of the fan leaves that got damaged

Question for anyone with experience with LST:
I'm just wondering whether or not its a good idea to tie the plant inwards rather than spread it out i.e pull the lateral branches inwards so it raises the budsites slightly and the whole plant takes up less space in the tent? should I want until its in full flower or could I give it a go now? Anyone is welcome to pitch in on this - it might be a very normal thing to do but as you know I have limited experience, cheers guys :peace:

Hi Pal

I like to get my LST done before getting to far into flowering, make sure you don't do it when the pot is dry and light - give her a watering and leave it an hour or so before tying down - I've made the mistake of snapping one in half :(

I personally only LST to spread the plant out and make my canopy even, but i only grow one or two at a time now and have the room to do that. I can't think of any problems with tying in as long as there is good airflow and the light can still reach your leaves, just my thoughts! ^_^

Dont do alot of lst myself as i like the natural look , but what ever you try just be gentle Pal :smokebuds::peace:

Will definitely be gentle, I've got time to think about it since the other girl is still small but once she takes off I may have to do some lst to get the best coverage I can :peace:

Hey Blue, thanks for the input. This s my first grow so don't want to be too adventurous, already made a few mistakes :P As I said above i'm gonna wait just a little while longer to see if my younger plant stretches (could be stunted) I do however like the idea of an even canopy so I could take the light closer, I'll definitely be trying that next time :peace:

Mind use thickish string or shoe lace type thickness as you dont want to cut into them and once you've done it they will be pulling against your ties :peace:

Damn it now I can't use my fishing line ;) :peace:

Day 37

Hey all, got a few pictures in natural light for you to check out, this is day 37 from breaking soil. I've been letting the right one just do its thing and theres still growth just not a lot of vertical - gonna see it through regardless :D The bigger girl drinks a lot faster and more per feed than the other so waiting in between feeding the sick one is slightly annoying, it should be dry enough for another feed tomorrow, looking hungry for N? I'm pretty sure it's my ph causing me all these issues but hopefully my pen will arrive tomorrow and I can be more precise with my feeds..run off is between 5-6 which i know is too low, just hard to get accurate with strips! Take care all :peace:
