Hey all!
So, after getting some help from the goof people on here, I am finally up and running with my grow :)

The setup is:

120x120x200 grow tent with double heat stop
1 X 600 WATT HPS LAMP
1 X 600 WATT LIGHT SHADE
1 X CARBON FILTER
1 X 4"TT100 FAN
4X 16L RHIZOPOTS
2x small clip on fans

I have used Coco and have mixed in with maybe 15/20% pebbles

I decided to go for the old school method and am currently germinating in the final pots (planted 2 days ago...)

I have not used any fertz etc yet but have advanced nutrients 3 part, coco feed, ph up and down, cal mag ....

Temp is currently staying at around 30c... Is this too high? Humidity is 46%

Hopefully all is going to go well :)

Thanks

Good luck! I'll follow. :)

Regarding the temperature, it's a bit high. Ideally, it should keep it no higher than 25 degrees, preferably a little lower, around 23.

Oh, and try to bring humidity to around 65/70. You may need to get a small humidifier. I also spray my seedlings with fresh water a couple of times a day, they seem to like that.

Thanks buddy!

What would you say is the best way to reduce the temp? More fans? I have been splashing a but of water here and there

The humidity in the room feels much higher than that!

More fans is a good way, if possible, have a fan blowing the heat out of the tent. Leave the top of the tent open so the hot air can get out.

@Itisi @Vlad The Inhaler

What do you guys suggest?

Fans won't cool it, they'll just move the air around. Have you got a cooling hood on your lamp? Where is the air being pulled into the tent from? Can you duct it from somewhere cooler?

Thanks! I haven't had this problem yet, will keep the info stored in what's left of brain for future reference.

you will. Come high summer, two tents full of hot sweating girls growing in a system that actively increases humidity. Hope that basement stays cool! Mind you, if you leave the basement open it will be a nice sized buffer zone for controlling the climate.

True, the air conditioning in the house will run to the basement and help cool it off. Well, it'll be my first summer here, but the house is pretty cool. Maybe the basement won't get too bad. I can always put a small ac unit on the window if things get crazy.

I have my fan pulling air from the tent through the carbon filter, out of one of my vents, nothing coming in ... Oops!! Will have to buy another fan and some ducting I'm guessing!?!
