Hey gang, It's about damn time I got a grow journal going. I just recently got a DR 60 II set up with a Blackstar 240 watt uv flowering model and an td100x fan extracting out of a can 2600 filter. Nice simple set up. I'm rigging the old cfl cab as a vege station in the hopes of running a perpetual set up this whole summer.
Anyway, here's the virgin run of the tent with none other than stitch's MI5. Two girls showed sex and were bagged up in two gallon bags of my own soil mix thinned out with light warrior to make it more suitable for autos. I've currently got ten Jems germing to fill in the rest of the tent. Cheers!

Here's the now converted vege cab set to run 132 watts of cfl/pl-l. This is the same cab that bred out the MI5 mommy last summer. Also the one I scrog the white widow in.
It's a two stage ventilation with the lights ventilated by a 40 cfm axial fan pushing air through so no stink gets sucked in. The grow chamber is ventilated through a second 100 cfm axial fan sucking air through a home made carbon filter. If you want more details on the filter I'll take pictures, it's the redgreenery model. The cab runs ambient with 240 watts of cfl/pl-l during flower. The inside dementions of the grow chamber are 14.5 x 22.5 x 27 inches. When rigged with flowering wattage I can pull 3+ ounces out of an organic grow. It's been retired to the vege home for cabs of former glory.

What pl-l's are you using? I have the HTG 2 foot 4 lamp Tek model headed my way.

I'm using what I ripped out of a phototron someone dumped in my lap. I think the ballast might be underrated for the lights, but I'd have to run the numbers again. Needless to say they work far better filling in light gaps in the cab than in that useless 90's relic.

They're great, with that four lamp model you should have some damn fine marijuana on your hands. Just keep a fan blowing directly between the buds and your lamps and you can get them within a few inches.

Yes, I planned on this, seems to be the ticket. Thanks man, I always take advice I am still learning. First grow not going too great but I am not giving up. haha. I expect it to pick back up with the new light. Go take a look at my journal if you want. I have a recent post so it should be easy to find.

Finally have a lot of beans breaking ground and getting transplanted. I learned my lesson about buying jems from places other than AFN, Only five out of ten have broken shell and it's not my germ methods.
Anyways, here's the Vege cab of former glory in action and some gratuitous seedling shots.


In the first picture on the left we have some Jems in tiered party cups and on the right BB x GG3.
The Jems will go in the tent after sexing and the BB x GG3 will go to a secret outside location.
I like to save space by using the scrog rack to keep the seedlings up by the light and the germing seeds under but still warm. Funny story about that scrog rack, I found the perfect rubber coated metal rack for it that I couldn't figure out what in the house it went to. So I hacked it up with the saw and tacked it all together proud as can be. Later that week I was looking for the laundry drying rack that goes in the dryer...... please don't tell my girlfriend.
