I am very excited about this one. Both Skywalker and Strawberry Nuggets have been on my purchase list for a while, so when I got the cross, I decided to make it my next grow. Instead of calling this something like SWxSN, I am just going to call these SkyNuggets.
There were two seeds
One looked like a prehistoric dinosaur egg. Large, beige, old looking, I had my doubts that it would germinate.
The other was TINY. I mean extremely small, I also doubted that this would germ.
I soaked the dinosaur egg first (glass of water for a day, then between paper towels. After three days of no action, I dropped the small seed, but left the larger one soaking.
I started to see tails on BOTH of them the next day.
I had already prepped a 5 gallon fabric pot with biobizz light mix and a little sprinkle of rooting powder, and soaked it. I had determined I would grow one plant in the 5 gallon and see how that turned out. My previous two grows went well but:
the first one was three plants in 5 gal pots and the plants were starved for light and all grew into my light source.
the second one was a 3 gallon pot, and for fun a small 1/2 gallon pot as well. That growcame out better (will chop most likely next week), but I don't think I will be getting the yield I was hoping for, hence the 5 gallon pot.
Anyway, since I germed two seeds (sigh), and have one pot, here we go with 'two seeds one pot'. Not recommended, but I am going to do it anyway because I was too lazy to buy smaller pots. And I like a challenge.
Day one is today. Had to manually remove the helmet off the dinosaur egg, so that's why you see a torn cotyledon on the one on the right. I have previously topped all my plants, this time, I believe I will just LST them both around the outside of the pot, clockwise.
here goes...
