Hey everyone its currently the start of spring here in Australia and I am planning my first outdoor grow. I have 3 strains all autos.
I plan on planting the seeds straight into the the prepared holes where they will stay until harvest. My question is will it be to cold during the night for seeds to grow or even germinate? Night temps here are around 35-40F. Day temps 65-70F
Indoor is not an option for me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on whether your strains were bred in tough outdoor conditions. Make sure anytime you have a hard freeze the plants are covered. You might want to consider getting a greenhouse or something similar :smokebuds:

Try some Afghan strains, they are must be ust to cold nights

Thanks for the info. I'll be planting tomorrow, fingers crossed.

I think you may run into germination issues if you try to put those seeds directly in the ground this early. Seeds like temps in the mid to high 70s for good germination. I would suggest you germinate your plants indoors and move them outdoors when they have 4-5 nodes. They should be 3-4 weeks old at that point. Once they are in the ground then cover them over at night as suggested if there is any risk of frost.
