Not really. It seems every season there is some personal mishap that doesn't allow me to take the mother to 65 or more days. Sometimes they are almost there, but not to turtle shell. As long as they are given at least a solid month, the majority should ripen just fine. However, one must account for the mother's ripening pace and adjust pollination times accordingly. The mother cut here can be ready by middle of week 8, but her seeds weren't. Between day 18 and 25 is working well.
An interesting thing is that the Short Stuff cross produced seeds that ripened much quicker. Done in 3 weeks, while some of the Photo x Photos were not ready in 4 weeks. It seems everything has that sense of urgency with autoflowers. The ruderalis genes just demand production lest the Siberian winter comes. Dunno how many people consider that
Stages of Staminate Development.
New Staminates will develop. Some release pollen at the node. Some grow into entirely new branches, with their own nodes and staminate flowers developing.
The future.
All under 24/0 schedule.
Males will develop more rapidly to produce pollen if their roots are allowed to dry out. Must add nitrogen to counter staminate proliferation. The cycle will complete itself several times over time. Eventually a male may produce a pistil, as the genetics seek to continue.
