So… I wanted to discuss the harvest weights a bit. This round, I trimmed all stem off of the weighed weight. Last harvest, I honestly kept a bit more stem just cause I thought the bud on a stick thing kinda looked cool, but it was unsmokable weight. I also have almost all 100% usable sugar trim from every
plant harvested.
the light…. If u look at previous pics I’ve posted of it, there is a center radius, and everything outside that radius gets really Larfy. This outside area also appeared as nitrogen toxicity simply because it wasn’t getting enough light to absorb the nitrogen. This left the plant in the middle and the inside area of the other plants nitrogen deprived, while the outside had too much nitrogen left in the plant.
I feel like the ac infinity s24 ionboard grow light will fix this issue. The shape of the light is rectangle and will leave a a 6” gap between it and the rim of the roof. I’m really stoked to get to try this new light out. While only pushing 200 watts, I think the even distribution of light will be perfect. Plus, I’m really thinking with the right training, I’m gonna be able to fix the bleaching issues.
I’m gonna go home and make measurements and see how many clones I have that are ready to go and what size pots I need to fit all of them in for flowering out this next round.
I think it will be a good comparison of how the buds turn out. They may even finish earlier with the proper lighting. This last run and the first, half seemed ready and the other half didn’t. I think the next round will hopefully be an even canopy.
I have a small window to get a grow in before moving, so I’ve decided to go with the clones I have. I know that they’ll be good to harvest and dry in time. I really wanted to do a SOG run of seeds that I made from the last round of autos, but I’m gonna wait. It’ll be the first grow in the new place so I want it to be as perfect as possible. 4th grow in, I should have it dialed in pretty good, or one would think. Lol. Slowly working out the kinks.
I’m also gonna hold off on lollipopping and only heavily defoliate when needed.I think both those methods are solid for people who have height and room to grow taller plants in, but I end up with a lot of stem I’m having to train down. Too much work. Lol. Trying to make this as easy as possible with the largest harvest possible.
With my soil, I will be reusing the soil from last grow and adding a bag of fox farm to it. Pretty sure it’s a bag of happy frog. I wanna find some dry amendments to add as well. The idea is if I can just water with seltzer water every week, I think the grow will flourish. Maybe add some topsoil amendments halfway through.
all in all, I’ve learned a lot about this box and what I can do with it. I regret not making it slightly taller, but had it been taller, I’d prolly have a complaint about it not being wide enough. Lol. I’m gonna make it work and my ultimate goal is to pull a pound out of this cab. It may seem impossible, but I don’t think it is. Granted this would be a nug/cola wall to wall thing, but the grows are definitely improving. I think ultimately, they can only get better.
I’ll prolly some pics tonight of the dried and trimmed nugs. I can say that I smoked a small nug of the socal master kush and it had a fresh taste for sure, but it also had the sweetest hashiest taste ever. I also sampled a small nug of the triple cheese. Same as the last, def a fresh taste, but it also had a strong blueberry flavor to it. Both got me so stoned. Lol. I usually smoke a blunt of some 20%+ indica before I go to bed and that was not needed at all.
i would love to hear y’all’s opinions on all this.So please feel free to chime in.
This is the banana candy krush. The only pic I got before she was chopped up.
this was the pisthash.
unfortunately I didn’t get any other pics. As mentioned, I’ll take some tonight to officially end this grow/thread before setting up the new thread with the new light.
