Hello Every one, I hope I am putting this in the right place, I am having some MI5 problems and am hopeing you guys can help. The problem is the seeds popped on the 11th of April so there well over 2 weeks old but there TINY. The largest one stands less than 2 inches and they only have one set of true leaves. I was under the impression that autos grew faster than this. Some of them are in jeffy pucks nestled into cups happy frog and some of them are directly in ocean forrest (the ones in ocean forrest are slightly larger than the others). They have been out side since day 1 with temps ranging any where from the high 30's a couple nights to the low 90's some days.. I have been giving ph'd water with superthrive until yesterday when I decided to dose them with a little fox farm nutes to see what happens... Lest see, what else can I say........ O I also hit them with a little 7 spray since they were getting nibbled a little.. Any advise would be helpful..

How large is the container you have them in? Sometimes they grow slower if the root trying to hit bottom.

I would say you should just wait and see... Dont give nutrient now.

This is my mi5 at two weeks indoor.

Dang zaq.. that looks good. They are in 32 oz cups, the leaves have grown over the last 24 hours or so since I hit them with a light dose of nutes maybe thats what the DR orderd.. But you would theink the FF soil would have enough for the first few weeks..

Yes, the soil have nutrients for weeks. I never use FF soil but you can see on the bag whats in. I never use veg nuts for the first 3 or so weeks. Only root nuts.

Check my grow journal and you will see how it will grow taller.

Happy growing!

They are small because you have them outside under daylight since day one. Auto's prefer to be started indoors under 24 or 20/4 lighting schedule. If you start them from seed outside, especially in spring and not summer they will be smaller for it. I always start my auto's under CFLs inside and they love it. I typically don't feed until they get two sets of true leaves. They could also be small because you started them in rather hot soil. HF might not be too hot for them but OF is. They may have recovered from the initial shock of it and be growing fine now, but that much nutes in the sprouting and seedling stage is a bit much for them. Pictures would help us help you immensely.

Thanks Piggy, I will try to get up on the hill and get some pics tomorrow after work. Also where they are now there in direct sunlight from sun up to sun down so that may help to.

101.jpg078.jpg^Bad Betty grown similair to your setup: Started outdoor and stayed small for the first month despite full sun. Pics are @ 2 weeks&6weeks. At about a month the growth really took off with no nutrients.

Yup, being outdoors adds a week or two to their life. Not saying you did anything wrong, there's members on here that start auto's outside and get monsters. Mr. McGreggor (sp?) starts mi5s outside in the ground and gets monsters. I just know from my personal experience and from others on the site most people do well starting auto's indoors.

Well then i think its time for an expirement... I completely lack an indoor setup, so i guess the 2 cfl's in my bathroom will suffice lol.

Make sure you have the top of the plants about six or so inches from the cfls.
