Mephisto Genetics Mephistos and Cobs - Ignorance is Bliss Grow

Yeah already found out that Hubba gets big,and I never topped her lol.she was growing higher than my parabolic shade...had to snap her neck to fit her under the shade!! I'm fairly new to mephisto gear,so don't really know what strains to top.id like to grow Walter white and ripleys og next...from what I've read, they get big, maybe contenders to get topped?? I don't wanna mess the next lot of plants up lol.

Ripleys would be a good one to top I reckon mate. Hubba same as Beast said, but pretty mild stuff.

Yeah I'm guessing it's what pheno you get,but she was nearly a 6 foot plant man lol.id like to get a squat pheno if hubba...does it even exist lol??
But ya right about the quality of mephisto...right at the top of the tree mate.

Yeah mate as The Lizard says they are 50w per cob. All dependant on the amperage of the driver though. With a different driver I could raise or lower the watts per cob.

Hmmmm..... would only take two wires to change the driver for MORE POWER!!! :crying: :vibe:

So, you're telling me that I could get 9 COB's for coverage and buy a mean-ass dimmable driver that can run them from 200 to 400 W? Or am I getting that wrong?

Stop swearing mate. Daytime smoke!! Ladies smoke you mean? :crying::crying::crying:

If it aint like a bat to the back of the head it aint worth smoking! :jointman:

Not what I was saying mate, but what you said is completely true. I can dim mine right down but rarely do. Only for veg and sometimes sleep but I've moved rooms now!

What I was talking about was amps. Any cob's wattage is dictated by the driver's amperage/number of amps. Citizen 1212 cob is 36w. My driver is 1.4 amp. 36 x 1.4 = 50 approx. I could use say a 2 amp driver and would get 2A x 36v per cob = 72w per cob. Same cobs, different driver, not to do with dimming. Capiche? :d5:

What space are you thinking of putting 9 cobs in man? I am not a fan of large numbers of cobs myself. The more cobs you have the more heat you're gonna have to start dealing with. I personally would run 6 cobs instead of 9 that you've had to dim.

Ladies smoke :crying:
Very true, but unfortunately, you can't always go about your day as though you've been hit on the head with a 10 pound lump hammer :crying:

Without being argumentative my man, thats pretty much exactly how I go about my day every day! :crying:

Its the only way I can move among the "normal people" without wanting to kill them all  :d5: :crying: :vibe:

Your bang on the both of you I reckon, and I’ve found out the hard way lol...I won’t be topping anymore meph strains...when I topped the girls,I noticed that they had shown sex around the same time,so they would have been shaping up to start flowering, just not enough time to recover from the topping to give me donkey dicks lol.
But you gotta find out these things by experimenting,it’s all for the good of science in cannabis plants my friends.
Yep I am with you, be careful topping autos, there are lots of low stress techs that can be used and achieve the same results as far as canopy management goes. But that’s just my two cents. There is definitely more than one way to skin a cat as they say.

Yeah, what I was saying was just an example of the concept that you described so neatly . Thank you man, that helps a lot.

Thinking about buying/building a COB rig for my 4x4 tent. Would be great to have 200 W for and up to 400 W in flowering.
