Grow Mediums Mephisto-Reserva Autopot run #1

Are all of them showing like this? I would guess an imbalance leading to lockout. Probably just too heavy on the calmag. Flushing kinda sucks but I think you should strongly consider doing so ASAP. I'm thinking around 600PPM / 500 scale of MC for the flush. No CalMag.

Do you have chloramines in your tap water? If not, you could bubble off the chlorine and add a little tap water back into the RO. Bring it up to around 50-100 PPM and start from there.

The quantity of plants showing it is growing. It was just 2, now it is 5 or 6 out of 9. I have no chance to flush until Saturday due to work schedule and time. Hopefully they won't progress too much until then.

I have well water that is 270ppm. Little bit of chloride but no chloramines. If I mix it in at 1 part of 3 that should get me around 90ppm starting.
Should I add the 600ppm of MC to that? Or 600 total?

I would mix to around 600 PPM total. Adding an enzyme might be a good call. Something like SLF-100 or Sensizym. Your starting pH may come out a little different when mixing the well water so I would check before running your normal buffer routine. See how they react.

Cool, I will grab some slf100 and add that to the mix.

What ph to flush at? 5.8? 6.0?

No calmag to the flush.

What about feed for my res after the flush? Should I add it into my res? Out feed with the same mix that I flush with?

Sorry for so many questions, this is still my first run with Coco and still trying to get a grasp on it.

See where your flush mix wants to settle. If it's in the 5.8 - 6.0 range go with that. You mentioned that you were seeing around .2 rise in the res and trays so for that mix probably shoot for around 5.8. A little variation from mix to mix is a good thing.

No calmag to the flush.
I wouldn't. I think the MC should have enough. Mixing some of your well water with RO should help "condition" the water. The affected leaves probably won't clear up and the necrosis on those leaves may continue a bit. I would watch the unaffected areas of the plants and see how they are reacting.

So, your well/RO water mix, MC, and SLF-100 for flush followed by small batch res mixes of well/RO water and MC. Then see how they are reacting.

Thanks for the help.
Hey Bro, hope you get back on track quickly. You probably will want to have your TDS pen handy during flush to check your runoff PPM. I would check multiple times to see how the numbers come down so you will only be doing what's needed. Check the SLF-100 lable, there is a higher "Flush" rate. Up to about three times the normal to help knock out the build-up. Good stuff! Let us know how it go's.

Will do, hoping that I can possibly get away with 4 gallons or less per pot.

Flush went well. PPM was super high in the runoff at first. 800-900ppm. PH was within range.

I think I am all done with Megacrop 3.0 in these Autopots

The amount of silt and sediment remaining on the bottom of both the reservoir and the trays is concerning at the least. I can only imagine that this is a big contributor to my PPM woes. look at all this shit in the pics below! This isn't slime or caked on stuff, it is tiny particles that flow with water. Every pot and the res too.

I am thinking about switching nute lines but have to figure out what to go with quickly.

I am thinking Canna, Dyna-Gro, or Jacks 321.
Any suggestions?
