Grow Mediums Mephisto-Reserva Autopot run #1

Every time I went up on MC it caused claw tips on my leaves making me think that it was too much N, plus they were really dark green.

I am already at a 1.3 EC and 650 PPM. Doesn't that already seem high? Maybe I will bump the res up 0.5g per gallon and see how it goes.

Well maybe increase MC just a bit (50 ppms) and reduce CaliMaggic a bit as well since it has N... and maybe the BE is adding to the high K in the MC which can cause problems with Ca absortions as would excess N, and for that matter so would excess Mg. I think thats why many are just adding Mg to MC instead of Cal/Mag... in my case everytime I add calmag to MC i get problems.. only Epsoms (max 50 ppm) with MC have been a smoother ride.

I am very hesitant to drop the Calimagic as I am using RO water. The 200PPM is a 0.4 EC and the last time I dropped it down to 150PPM (0.3), I immediately saw a Mg def.

Maybe I will try dropping the BE and bringing the MC up to 4 and see what happens. It has been a bit since trying to increase it.
They did just their PK boost with the BE and I can hit em again with a little more in a couple weeks.

Everything is going pretty well but I am not sure that I care for the NPK ratios of the MC line but time will tell in the end.

I think dropping the BE is a good idea... I added 33 ppms of it to my reservoir two days ago and today i'm seeing Ca def but at top leaves, maybe we are witnessing antagonism.

Wow, that's a huge coincidence! Or is it?
That is about how much I added.

I still have about 15 gallons in my res, I really hate to waste all that water.

My best runs with MC have been with out BE... best in the sense as having no deficiencies and the frostiest and tastiest nugz. I can see our current runs will be teaching us alot!

@MANNIK I was thinking if your symptoms could maybe be P def and not Ca def?

I had originally thought that myself, especially with the yellowing of the tips and edges. That is why I added the BE for a PK boost and it progressed a bit further. This leads me to belive that is may be a Calcium lockout due to the high K as indicated in your chart.

I am not sure what the exact issue is but I am almost done with my res change. Actually just sitting here shaking my mason jar with concentrate right now.

Eliminating the BE and going with .4 EC Calimagic and 3.5g per gallon MC as to not shock the girls with a whole 1g per gallon bump at once.

I will monitor they're reaction and adjust the res up to 4g if they don't burn or they seem hungry.
If they burn I will dilute the res a bit and will have to figure out wtf to do from there...

Now thinking about it, this was most likely just a minor reaction from the PH issues last week and I reacted adding PK causing a secondary issue.

We are our own worst enemy...

Hello all!

Day 39 | 78 F | 60% RH | Lights = dimmed (180W each) between 16,000 (shortest) - 30,000 (Tallest) Lux/234-438 PPFD

Feed is as follows:
200 PPM Calimagic to RO water for base
3g per gallon MC 3.0
.25g per gallon Bud explosion
Drip clean
650 PPM total feed | 1.3 EC
5.8 PH into res, natural drift brings me to 6.0 within a couple of days.
Trays are within 6.0 - 6.2 at most times

Looking good, flowering is in full swing for most! A couple of the girls are doing better than the rest of the room. The tent is getting comfortably full. I assume the stretch is close to done at this point for most of them. These are the biggest set of autos I have had to date!

One minor issue that I need to keep an eye on or address is what looks like a couple deficiencies. Not sure if they are hungry or overfed? Maybe it was the cause of my PH issues from last week. The yellowing has progressed on the leaves with what looks like a calcium deficiency. This is only on a couple lower/mid leaves.

Front left plant looks hungry but is only really light green/yellow up top. She got too close to the light for too long and it really took some color from her.

First run with Megacrop, coco, and Autopots so still trying to figure it out.

Any suggestions or ideas to help correct the issues? Nute mix? PH? PPM's?

Looks like a cal/mg issue with those rust spots. The other ladies are where they should be. Great tent!!

Not sure what the problem is with my girls. Looks like nute burn, Calcium deficiency, and a K deficiency?

Will be flushing on Saturday to see if that will help.

Any suggestions on Nutes? PH?
Anything obvious that I am doing wrong?
