They did get leggy. Still learning lol.

Yeah, too much light can be worse. I've killed seedlings that way.Nothing wrong with it, I actually prefer a little legginess tbh as long as they stay upright like yours. My tent is just too small so I always have to bury them almost to the cotyledons at transplant and train. Even when I have 10+ years doing this I hope to still be learning! You’re doing just fine DBG, hope the extra light kicks them into fifth gear!

Is that to encourage height? Short height has always been my problem.Oh totally, I meant that for the 28 day girls that are well into veg…first few days I have them under a 15 W household 6500K daylight bulb or a 24W T5HO. After I start 25-40 W about 2’ overhead for the first week, then up progressively I aim for 20-40 W per sq ft from mid-late veg through bloom as I lower the light.
This 600 watt light is a bitch for seedlings. I need to get a small light for Seedlings and Veg.Oh totally, I meant that for the 28 day girls that are well into veg…first few days I have them under a 15 W household 6500K daylight bulb or a 24W T5HO. I am trying to replicate everything I did on my last grow. When I got them to turnaround. And going over my notes. I had the light turned down too low last grow also.

Sounds like good advice, just the same -thanks!That was my though process but I am not the one to be giving advice LOL! Figured seedling stage don’t waste the electricity, cheap clamp lamp with a household bulb works great until just after first true leaves plus you can get about 6-8” away for warmth without the light burning the seedling. Then I keep the LED light high at start to avoid light stress, let the plants adapt, but yes also encourage a little stretch. Then I up intensity to slow the vertical growth, and finally gradually lower the light at full intensity to mimic the later season when daytime hours are shorter but the sun is actually closer so there’s more intense direct light.
