Mephisto Genetics Mephisto & Mcdee... THIS IS JUST A TEST!!!

Day 30

Well, here we are roughly 1/3 of the way done and we are rollin'! I just got done feeding them 1.5gal each. Should have done 1.75gal for the TA and 1.25gal for the LBX. More of the same, tying them down supercropping them. Trying to keep the branches on the TA under the screen, but not sure how this will work out. I can see how this is easier with a photo, but with a little practice and a whole lotta patience I will get the hang if this... I hope lol.

This is the top of the LBX, finally big enough to pull her over.

Not sure my fim worked so I tied the top down just in case. Now just trying to spread her open each day. I have about 10-15 days left to spread her around. At that point I will most likely do a lollipop, but I will determine that then after she fills out more. Stay lifted.

Day 32

More of the same last few days. Lsting and supercropping becoming difficult to spread the TA around the screen. I have come up with a solution, but dont think I will do it on this grow. I dont have what I need to do the job so I think it will wait until next time. Both the TA and LBX are both nice and easy growing plants. The TA would be getting close to out growing my tent. Not the case with the LBX, she is very stocky with fat fan leaves. She needs opened up to let light in. This is where I wish I would have started her in a smaller container and transplanted her. Not something I normally do, but I can see where it would have helped her be larger. Here are some pics from little bit ago.

I think I'm near the end of training the LBX. Starting to get tight, but I will let her growth over the next few days decide what I do.

Kinda hard to see much right now, but once buds start poking out that will change. Not going to be able to fill the screen completely but she is gonna try. Stay lifted.

Day 35

This was from last night, I was passing out so waited to post today lol. Getting close to switching to bloom nutrients within the week. Leaves were looking a little dark so just gave them water last feeding to be on the safe side. The LBX was just to crowded so did some defoliation on her. Much better after a haircut light and air can get to bud sites now. Some growers say defoliation is bad, I disagree. You cant train as much as I do without defoliation, if bud is covered it wont develop completely. I try to be as efficient as i can and only take what needs to be. If it's late in veg and get some new buds site that dont have time to develop... off with their heads! Let that energy go to the bud above that's in the good light. To each their own but you cant make an omelet with breaking some eggs. Dont worry most of these plants can handle the loss of some leaves.

The LBX is in full 70's bush, so many bud sites on her. I think I'm done with training on her. Other than a lst or removing a leave that's about it, just let her go from here. She is about 30" from light so should be good.

I feel I'm not using the scrog correctly. It's much harder to keep the branches running around the screen than I thought it would be. Some are still running while others are out of room and growing up. Canopy should be even, but not going to be with how it developing. I think I missed the fim which may be part of my issue. She will be fine just not what I was going for. I will keep trying to keep her even but my inexperience is showing. This is how I learn, I'm not a big "pick up a book and learn" kinda guy. I need to get my hands in it and do it. I do not mind failing if I learn from it. Dont be afraid to try stuff that's new, sometimes that's the best way to learn. Stay lifted.

What is scrog height? You may have need it lower or started sooner. Good luck

10" to the screen. I'm gonna give it my best and may become more clear as grow goes. The more I do it the more comfortable I'll get with scrog. I'm hoping she has a sativa effect as much as she looks. Cant wait to see yours, may be the guide I need to caught on.

Looks like u did a great job training her below the scrog. Both looking happy and healthy and that’s whats important. Both gonna be fire too.

So far so good, dont want to sound negative because they both been great. I thought I would take to the scrog a little fast than I have. Sometimes like George, I fly to close to the sun on wings of pastrami lol. Getting more comfortable last few days with weaving. Going to mix up some nutrients 4 gallons for either tomorrow or Thursday. Will be last veg feeding. I will only give water with calmag after until flower. So that's 1-2 waterings, kinda like a flush but not. No nutrient burn yet which is longest in without any. With them looking dark I want them to use up some of the nitrogen in the soil before flower. You can see bud sites start to round. I like to wait until the plant tells me she is in preflower and READY TO GO before I give her bloom nutrients. When they look like cotton balls it's time, which allows me to max them out. The LBX is a little ahead in the race to flower. I will post some pics in a bit when I go down and peek at them.

Day 39

Just gave them their last veg feeding. They may get water with calmag, but I want to use up some of the nitrogen in the pro mix before I give them bloom nutrients. I'm really diggin' the way the LBX is shaping. I know she kinda ugly right now, but that's gonna change... real soon! I like how stacked she can get if you put in the work. For a smaller plant she fills out, and that's just how i like my ladies. Shorty and squatty all butt and no body hahaha. I think she could have potential in coco or dwc to be bigger.

The TA is just growing. Nice and easy no issue to date just bending and weaving when and where I can. She will give a nice harvest at the end of May or little later. Still looking real sativa like which I hope that continues. Stay lifted.

Day 43

HAPPY 420!!!!!!!! Hope everyone had a great 420. If you just getting in, oh wait... that's right most of us aren't supposed to go out. Well, if you are going out of your house remember to keep your distance. I know some of us are having trouble judging what a safe distance is, so here is a helpful illustration on how to know if your far enough away. Feel free to print it off and post around to help spread the word lol.

Is everyone high enough tonight with me!!! @Mizzo81 I know you're lifted and ready to party lol. Time to get to the ladies, they got water with calmag and little bit of mix from last veg feeding. They are ready, I mean really ready just screaming for bloom nutrients. For new growers, I know I had this issue when I 1st started growing. When is she ready for bloom nutrients???? The answer is when they look like this...

20200420_230057.jpg

now. If you haven't switched by now you should. I'm gonna be a little late, she could have got them a day or 2 ago but I had already mixed 3gal so I didn't want to waste. She will get 1st bloom feeding on Wednesday at the rate she has been going. LBX is a solid lady, getting bigger than she was 1st showing. She would not have been anywhere near this large if I just said oh, been 4 weeks time give bloom nutrients. Which you can do but you wont max them out. Let the plant tell you when it time, and that's her saying hey I wanna grow some bud now lol. Both are really easy going plants took everything I threw at them. Letting them do their thing and cutting some leaves when needed, but that is about it. I turned the bloom light on the P150, see how they respond to it.

Day 47

Hey everybody, we are flying along and before you know it we will be chopping her down. I hope you all are as stoned as I am, which is making my eyelids heavy. Been removing some leaves getting the light in and the LBX is shining. I like this plant she is big but not huge. She is gonna produce some nice buds and a lot of them.

TA is another easy strain. I have gone easy on the feeding with her and has paid off. Her tips aren't burned which by now I normally have done. Solid plant no worries with her perfect for training. I wanted to lollipop her but I cant get to her in the tent. There just isnt enough room to safely do so I will let her go.
