Howdy folks, I am going to try some autos outdoors this summer in Northern California.
All seeds from @mephisto genetics.

Alien vs Triangle F2
Skywalker F7
Sour Stomper F7
Creme de la Chem F5
(All germinating @ 80F as of April 4!)

They will start under a little T5 LED and go out during the day as weather will allow.

Soil is a 2:1 blend of Royal Gold Kings Mix and Vermicrop Vermisoil.

I added 6 lbs of Natures Living Soil amendment to 24 gallons of the mix, watered with some molasses and Great White and it will cook for about a month in a plastic garbage can. Whenever I find a worm in the yard, I throw them in!

A vs T and SS will go into 35l aerated pots, the other two will be in 20l aerated pots. Kind of an experiment with the larger pots.

Excited to see some new flavors, any tips or advice is welcomed.
This is a "normal" clone from last season.

Here are the ingredients of the NLS soil amendment. I did not layer it, just mixed completely with all soil at a ratio of 1lb NLS per 4 gallons of soil.

The reason I went with a pre-mix and did not build my own "living soil starter" was quantity. I would have ended up with 10X the amount needed of many ingredients if sourced locally. We will see how it goes...plan to keep this soil going for many seasons.

I did lots of research after finding this site, and also decided to try the "no transplant" transplant container idea as well for these plants.
I cut up some 5" square pots and will put rapid root blocks directly in them with a mild seedling soil (no NLS).

Good luck great choice of strains some good stuff goin down .

Everyone has sprouted and is planted 60 hrs from start of germination.

Keeping the little buggers warm was crucial; aloe water (30ml per qt H2O) + paper towels + 80-84F = success.
4 for 4, mephisto batting 1000 so far!

Creme de la Chem and Skywalker both popped tails in 48hrs.
A vs T and SS were on the same schedule about 12 hours behind their sisters.

Had to visit the hippie grocery store for some supplies. Going all organic for this one.

I am using a Sun Blaze T5 LED to supplement until they are fully outside.

"Armed with 41 watt AgroLED iSunlight lamps, these lamps produce an amazing 4,900 lumens with a 5500° K lamp color..."

It has been at least 15 years since I used a light, and never an LED.
How close can I put it when they pop up without frying them?

That looks legit for seedlings at this point you don't need the light super close .
