Lighting Mephisto Grape Crinkle x2 first bigsm0 Auto Cob Grow 24 hrs lights on

Iv'e heard that, but also because of their intensity i heard the Tops may lack just a little but the lower Buds will get the extra frost. Have you experienced any of that Sm0?

I know my grow is still early and this is my first cob grow but all tops have plenty of frost as well as the lower parts so far. Grape crinkle in general is just huge on frost tho, I seen a guy on here press an amazing amount of rosin just out of the sugar leaves alone, that's just insane.

Yes I have had this but only with to much wattage. I used to run 300 cob watts over a 3x3 tray with reflectors and it was cooking the plants and resin. Since I lowered it down a few things have never been frostiest.

I've been thinking about taking reflectors off for the final flower as I'm pushing 300w. I'm thinking move the COB's closer and flood the 4x4 with light rather trying to use them like spots. I don't know though, might lose penetration for lower Bud sites?

When I tested the cobs in a 2x2 tent there was higher ppfd across the whole 2x2 with reflectors. I believe this is from a more direct path starting closest to the les itself. i don't think the reflectors turn the cobs into spot lights as their angle is very wide.

As for your question I do not think it would make any difference to lower sites. This is more about the amount of lights sources and not the intensity of light.

Day 43

Just ordered some mammoth p and some recharge can't wait to try it out, I've seen the results others are getting so I know it's worth it.

Good to hear can't wait to try it, it will be here tomorrow I think I'm gonna do recharge and mammoth p together hopefully my next update they will look happier lol..

Careful not to get frostbite lol. How tall are they?

Lol.. They are tiny! I have most buds LST'D into the net but they are both 14" at tallest bud height. I'm pretty sure I screwed up my soil mix I usually do 50/50 soil to perlite I think I put way less perlite I'm having drainage problems so I think that kept them short. Stupid mistake! :face:

Fed them both some recharge and mammoth p can't wait to see how they look in a few days.

Day 45 pic right after recharge and mammoth p for reference . Does anyone know if grape crinkle usually purples up? I just assumed it does cuz it has grape in the name lol
