Day 21

So a bit of a hassle day yesterday. I ended up having to move my tent to another area. A colder area in fact. Room temps where it is located now are 18-20C. Because of this I’ve decided to run an autocob over each plant even though one would’ve been ok for probably another week, I needed some help warming things up. I also wrapped my tent with a goose down duvet I am no longer using and it’s helped. Since adding that and the three lights all going I’ve managed a stable temp of 25C. I am struggling to keep humidity above 40%. We’ve had really cold weather these past few days ( Spring starts tomorrow? Yeah right!) I have a bucket of water in there to help and it’s just keeping me at 41 or so. When I unzipped earlier it dropped to 37 within a minute of me checking on things. Last night I added the reflectors to my autocobs and raised them to 44 in above since I went from 1 to 3. I’m off today and have time to monitor so I dropped them down to 30 in above canopy and will check them in an hour to see if it’s stressing them or if they’re liking it. I’m looking to purchase my fan and filter combo this week or next so I’d love to hear from you guys in regards to recommendations or warnings about certain equipment. I’ve been told to avoid those cheap ipower ones and I plan on taking that advice. Any other advice is greatly appreciated. I am thinking a 4in fan filter combo should be alright but what do you think of a 6in and using a speed controller to take it down a few notches? My thanks in advance.

theres a handy trick to raise humidity in your tent well two ways actully one is get a towel and damoen it down then hang it up in the room the heat will evaporate the water into the room or you can get a dish like a pyrex cooking dish put a inch of water in it with a tea towel hangin into the water so the towel wicks up the wayer and gets evaporated youtube home made humidifier if you want to get a better idea i done it before and it does work

Thanks stoney! I’ll give it a go! I’ve heard of those methods but didn’t think they were any different than just setting out a bucket of water as I went that route instead because I found it neater/self contained. I’ll do both lol!

It’s funny, I actually recall reading a thread a while back and seeing that 912’s humidity was kinda low and I’ve not really seen anything other than quality plants from greenskell. I’m going to check around online and visit a local shop to get some advice and see what options they have available.

I also raised the light above the runt of the litter and gave her a straight RO water feed as I’m thinking some of the waterings she received over the last little bitmight have been more than she needed. Humidity is now @ 47% since hanging the damp towel in there. Thanks for the suggestion stoney

It's the surface area that helps, a bowl of water has almost no surface area for evaporation.

Sent from my comfy chair.
