New Grower Mephisto, Autocobs, Airpots, Oh My!

So, I’m happy to report that my environment is steady at 24C and 40%. Also I’ve noticed some progress in regards to the 2nd set of leaves. So things are looking up. I’ll hold off until the weekend before giving them any nutes again.
Ok. Sooo things are progressing with the 2nd set of leaves but the twisting I had mentioned earlier has progressed and is even more pronounced. Do you think it was a result of the lights being too low even though I had raised them back to 3ft above or is it a result of them still taking in the nutes I fed them on Sunday night which may still be a bit much for them? I’ve watered them with plain RO water twice since Sunday’s feed hoping to wash out/dilute the nutrients they might not have been ready for. Appreciate any and all input

The reason behindnyou wanting the rh to be 40-70 is because of the infant stage the flower is at requires them to utilize their leaves to drink. All plants so it, since the root system is still developing.

Currently on my first grow. Try to resist watering as much as you can. I know how it feels like though. But it can really stunt or kill your seedling. I learnt my lesson the hard way...water only when soil is dry or pot relatively light in weight.

I keep reminding/ telling myself, "If they can take in this much water as a seedling, won't we need to just soak them 24 hours when they grow larger?" This helps me keep bad watering habits at bay but i still can't help myself sometimes.

How old are they? I did not check dates of your posts but there was quite a bit of watering and nutes mentioned. I'm using cobs but not the famed autocobs. Only started with cobs on day 16 so not much to share.

Hope the plant comes back strong!

I appreciate your answer but I don’t follow what you’re saying... I was asking what might be the reason for the leaves twisting. Light height or is it due to being fed prematurely. Or, is it something else all together?

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I know less is more in regards to watering when they’re this young. I had only been watering small amounts around the centre of the pot when it was dry. After getting impatient I gave a light feed. The watering after that was done in hopes of diluting the nutes in the soil even further. I’m pretty confident that they’re going to be just fine, I just want to know what is most likely the reason for the twisting leaves.

My bad bro, faded and saw the previous post seeing your low rh

They look like when I put too many nutes in the pot. I find a big soak better than lots of little waters. Then let the pot dry out a bit and do it again. I start 1/4 strength nutes at the end of week 2 but I use organic nutes which are more forgiving.

I hear you. I had considered a big soak but because of the plants young age I decided against it as I believe it would be far more detrimental overall. The girls are progressing right along, I just wanted to see if I could get to the bottom of this leave twisting issue. As things are now, I’m just going to keep moving forward without much thought about it.
