I’m with Jingo on box rather than bag. I don’t like the bag method. I’ve had rot in a bag once. A cardboard box in your tent with holes either both sides or top and bottom, and you’ll be golden [emoji106]

Thanks Hippy! You must’ve posted that while I was responding to jingo so as you can see in my response to him I think it will be done as such on my next go... for now I’m just going to cover the bag with a cardboard box that will block out the rest of the light. Thanks again!!!

Ok! I know it’s a big no-no to do this buuuuuuuttttttt........ as I had one of the plants out and was inspecting it and seeing if there was as any tucking I could do, I noticed a bud that was just in a bad spot. I figured no matter what I could attempt, it wouldn’t amount to much in the end...... so I snipped it!!!! Lol! Then....... I put it in my vaporizer and passed two bags through it. Lol. Ok I’m very nicely stoned. (As I wait on a pepperoni pizza from the place down the street.) honestly I haven’t smoked my own in 5 years!!!! This is my first indoor grow and have been soooo curious to try Mephisto that I just couldn’t help it! Honestly even a small immature bud has me feeling great! Just amazing! Can’t wait for this stuff to be chopped dried cured and jarred!!!!

Ok. Small update... the final plant will be chopped this weekend or possibly as late as Monday-Tuesday. I’ll see how she’s looking over the next few days. I’m happy with the drying process so far. Definitely not too quick. So far they’ve been drying for 3 full days (since Sunday night) and it looks like another 2 possibly 3 full days left. They’ve lined the bottom of a paper yard waste/leaf bag that I cut down in height and just folded the top over a few times. As they’re in my tent for odour control and I still have a plant in there I’ve made use of another bag (empty) to block the light and shield the bag with the drying buds in it. Seems to be working quite well so far. I’ll post some pics before jarring them. Plan on using Boveda 62’s in the jars. Just gotta pick some up from my local shop on the way home from work one day this week.

Day 67.
First 2 plants have another day or two of drying before getting them into jars-happy about that as they’ve been drying since Sunday night so that’s 5 full days so far so definitely not too quick of a dry cycle. The final plant will be chopped by Tuesday for certain. I have seen a definite improvement since chopping the others on Sunday. Not nearly as frosty as the other two were but I’ve noticed the buds have increased in size these past few days. Overall considering the terrible start this girl got I’m ok with the results so far. Oops just noticed the pics are up twice...

So before getting everything into jars with boveda62’s I weighed it all up. Basically if I were to add the stuff I vaped while drying was going on I’m certain my yield would be over 2oz but as it sits now I have 53g dry. The final one gets the chop tomorrow. She’s in the dark right now. I imagine she’ll be close to an oz. that’s it for now. Anxiously awaiting for my pkg to arrive in the mail so I can start my next grow. Fugue State. Hopefully I’ll get them this week.

Thanks. I think the important part here is that I’m aware of the mistakes I’ve made and I shouldn’t be making those same mistakes on the next grow- I’m sure I’ll have some new mistakes to learn from! Lol. Mephisto’s guide claims 30-60grams so I think I was just about there. Looking forward to growing a larger strain next. Just gotta get them from the mailman! Lol. Patiently waiting... lol

A final update on the last plant that I chopped. It’s now dry and in a jar, but before that happened I trimmed away whatever stems were still there and got it weighed. I figured it was going to be just shy of an oz by a few grams, but it actually hit the oz mark right on the nose! Now I’m going to have to continue playing the waiting game with my order. Hopefully I’m just a day or two away from receiving it so I can start my next run.
