Indoor Mephisto, ALF #5 x Azian Haze CBD, Jem...

Alright, these are the squared cups, notice the bottoms are what is actually squared, probably makes for less spillage with beer pong. In this case, they are more stable if placed on a slope for some reason? But the clear cups fit down in a ways as you can see, of course potting soil just under the lip will hold them up higher if wanted.

My fan contraptions take up some footprint, but work quite well I must say. Finally got the top fan for the new unit on the right... Also, it looks like Vishnu will have to come out for this go round. Though, I may be able to shuffle some things around and keep him in there, we will see what evolves.

Looking yummier by the day and getting some nice frost, even a tiny bit out on those upper fan leaves. The hairs look pink from the light I'm pretty sure because in person they are white as can be. Isn't the white line down the middle of the leaf supposed to be a good thing? I swear I read that somewhere on here, like it goes yellow then green if you get too heavy on the Nitrogen or something?

Local medical friend just text and he is running 200 auto's as a test this year, he bought some local seeds that are supposed to be heavy yielders, but grown for distillate production mainly, so they aren't kill flowers that his patients are used to. So he is going to test them and I am donating whatever intrigues him from my M.G. collection of 150 or so seeds to run as a comparison for bud quality. Good times on the way! :jointman:

Little humidifiers all over, yea?

I keep changing up my routine as well. Trying to find a balance in pot size , healthy medium etc. I have found that most of the Mephisto Genetics finish by day 75 and I can usually finish without adding much besides cal-Mag to my supersoil mix in a 5 gal. Fabric pot. They just take up a lot of space , so I often go against better judgement, use a two gallon square and deal with deficiencies and add in bottled stuff. Decisions is right!

I’ll buy that bag of soil for $40, if you ship?

:bighug:

In my grow i have two plants in LOS andpots are half filled with BioChar, other half is a blend called Malibu LOS along with two gallons of worms and compost .... the plants are filling a 2x4 tent .... one plant, Sam’s Crack is in a 15 gallon pot and the other in a seven gallon pot ....

I expect to harvest from Gold Glue 3-4 oz and from Sam’s Crack well over 10 oz, Sam’s main stems are thicker than my pinky and index finger for main cola .... she has in excess of 20 nice sites with frost even on the Fan Leaves ..... she’s under 60 days old and you can see her here .... she is a monster growing in BioChar ....

Wasn’t going to post until I read about $5 bag soil and that’s just not right to compare the two soils .... Results like I’m getting is very possible with BioChar, Iissue could be?

Again, ship me that bag and I’ll send $40 via PayPal .....

Peace,
OB

Looking awesome in there! Not an inch of wasted space. Putting the square solos on my shopping list. Yup... those white veins say healthy.
Great that you will have 200 different plants to compare with Mephisto. Aybe your pal will share a little of the distillate and possibly produce a little with the Mephisto also... in the interest of science of course.

@MrOldBoy ....Sounds like you are getting amazing results with your system! I use a couple different supersoil mixes and amend it with a half dozen more goodies. I have never pulled 10 oz from a single Autoflower so you would not see any improvement. Never added up what I spend to assemble the finished product. It’s probably not cheap and I do not reuse. The exhausted soil goes into my larger outside garden and gets tilled together for my veg.garden.

OrganicSensi got 13 oz from an auto, pics are here .....

I will be doing final weigh on my grow, about 3 weeks from now, follow - see .....

Give you double or nothing on that soil if I don’t hit, nothin if I do but I’ll pay for shipping ....

from the 2x4 tent I expect to exceed a pound, 2 plants .... one plant in 15 gallon pot per KIS and second in a 7 gallon and I’ll never go under a 10 gallon .... a 7 gal barely cuts it with LOS .....

Best,
OB

@MrOldBoy , You are so right! I grow in a 2x4x5 in a perpetual situation, typically having two finishing, two vegging and two starts . I don’t have the space for 7 gallons, nor the height to grow huge plants. I’m perfectly happy to pull 3 oz from a 5 gallon. The plants occasionally limp to the finish line if they need more time. I grow for personal and don’t need quantity just clean flower .

3oz per 5 is good .... sounds like it’s working!

I too grow for personal but full harvest and then I stop ... I’ll stop after this grow and start later date yet to be determined.

Honestly I'm pretty sure it will cost at least $40 to ship it to the East Coast, so I will just hold and deal. But if you lived near me friend I would just give it to you and hope I got a few nugs back in a couple months! Not really sure what else the issue could be, maybe I should have done top half with their regular Water Only soil and bottom half with Biochar and planted my seeds directly into the regular stuff. But I have transplanted plenty of plants from other containers and never had the issue of stunting like I did. Also, I have used worm castings in the past but don't like dealing with the damn fungus gnats, so I have strayed back away from it until I can find a cleaner source and rely on Kelp Meal instead since the NPK is pretty similar on what I have anyway.

Is that the same Malibu as Bu's Blend and they make some compost tea packets and such? Are you also feeding your plants or just doing water only?

I would much rather do perpetual and deal with smaller plants and more variety than push them to the limit. I am limited on time as it is and those huge plants sound like way more work. I am sure if I went back to a peat product that is way more harmful to the earth and used a bunch of my leftover Nectar nutrients to pump them up then I could probably get bigger plants too, but I just want clean flower to smoke that doesn't make me hack a lung out like the dispensary garbage, and do it without feeling like my soil purchases contribute so much to the detriment of the Arctic and Earth in general. And I smoke between an ounce or two per month, depending on potency and such, so pulling just a couple ounces per plant is totally fine with me. I think the high is way cleaner anyway, so less is needed.

Finished the shuffle and it is cramped! Also, there is little room so I am going to do myself a favor and skip leaf tucking and all that to try to PREVENT them from getting too shrubby, just let them grow like little Christmas trees the best I can. Also a note to others, the more pots of soil in the tent the less the humidifier has to work to keep up, so the gallon it takes to fill it lasts nearly all day instead of half a day. There was just enough room left over for some solo cup starts and once they are transplanted I will be getting some photo seeds going for outdoors, and the auto perpetual will slow down as warmer weather approaches, the new plants should all be done mid to late June, maybe earlier since they are in small pots. Have a good day and get baked everyone! :jointman:

I’m Midwest but yes, shipping is high .....

If you wanna still give it a grow, I maybe able to help but here are some comments back at ya on your comments .... And Brother trust that I only have your best grow in mind ..... my personality can be a bit direct, please understand ....

:pass:

Castings, make your own, use quality inputs and quality castings will follow .....

Save the Earth ..... Make your own mix and amend and resume soil ..... Using bottle processed nutrients destroys the earth .....

Gnats - Nasty Devils ..... Gnats won’t attack heathly plants with a sugar level over 12 ..... Brix Meter, a cheap measuring tool, will tell you if plant sugar is 12 or over ....... Gnats are also often associated with overwatering, we sometimes when caring for many plants will overwater by error or on purpose so we don’t have to come back in two hours and water again .....

Watch this Short Video on Brix Meter and Plant Health

This under $20 device can save an entire grow, valuable and little known about ..... A Brix Meter can tell you what bag of carrots to buy .... it’s measures sugar in the carrot or leaf or whatever you compress and get liquid out of ....

Amazon product ASIN B01LW4HHRC
Perpetual Grow .... That plan fails before it starts ..... Any buds produced will be “air buds” ..... When flowering you want your humidity around 45-55 percent depending on temperature / co2 levels and when plants are young they like 70-85 percent humidity levels ..... But don’t take my word for it, search Vapor Pressure Deficit or VPD to get better understanding ..... Also do search for desired marijuana humidity levels and you’ll better understand humidtynlevels and Bud formation.....

Many Pots / Different Sizes ..... Hard to manage ..... I have just two pots, using five gallons of soil in a 7 gallon smart pot as there is room for drainage and top dressings so I only partial fill with soil ...... anyways i submit these two plants, which by the way my second grow, these two plants in 2x3 area will out produce your entire tent and the Nugs will be rock hard .... so think about it, I’m using 10 gallons of soil, total, in only two pots and there is more bud ....

Peace,
OB
