Hey Noods! I still got a bit of Green on me Horns myself! LOL I have been thinking to myself when I'm trying to sleep or whatever that if I had known these things before I started I would have had better results! Like for instance my first run of SnowRyder. I fed at like 2 weeks. Eventho it was light I burned the heck out of them and it totally affected the entire grow, yield, and potency. I would like to see new growers get better results the FIRST time just knowing simple guidelines for Autos. Because we all know they are in a class of their own! Hey Snooch! Yeah that just popped in my head as I was writing LOL my Wife's always stressing to me about research and it totally applied to starting to grow Autos... Or anything for that matter, hell when I buy an Xbox game she'll ask me "did you read the reviews?" LOL Thanks for the nice comments bro and Rep!

This is the single most useful comment i have received so far. it sticks in my mind and stopped me stressing.

Exactly! Also, TBM has a great quote... Paralysis by Analysis... It's amazing how simple it really is to grow really bountiful harvests... It's just getting to that place with yourself as a grower. Just like everything in life... Once you do it and have that confidence you feel better about yourself and your plants. After that the sky is the limit! It's getting past that first step and realizing you're not going to have a perfect grow all the time! Things happen. Strains react differetly or are more demanding. Don't expect High Times cover girls the first time out BUT when you're not trying for that ... Just focusing on getting good smokable buds, it's amazing what you get!!

My father was one of the best coaches I ever had in both Baseball & Football... He would always tell me "Focus on base hits, the Home Runs will take care of themselves." Best advice he ever gave me. And in football he'd simply tell me "Don't run around them, run through them..." LOL So basically just keep on truckin! You'll get that touchdown eventually! Then you can do the Auto Victory Dance! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

But in all seriousness Snooch I agree. Keep them as healthy as you can and they will reward you tremendously. Also, I forgot to add. One of the most important things... pH!

I know the hydro pH is recommended lower than growing soil but in any case know your pH! Also, keep in mind your added nutes and also the nutes in the soil will drop your pH when added. SO make sure you test your run-off immediately (the water that drains out as you water...) It doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a good digital pH pen. But, don't get a cheap one either. A good pH pen is worth it's weight in gold... A cheap pH pen will destroy your whole world! There is nothing more dis heartening than thinking you are doing the right thing and feeling great and then seeing your plants go all to hell and wondering why, what did I do? Then realize some silly cheap ass pH pen just screwed up months of hard work and money...

LESSON #2!! LOL DON'T BE A SCROOGE!!! Certain things you just can't go cheap with and a pH tester/pen/meter is one of them! Spending $20-$30 once will save you 100's down the road. Not to mention heartache!!!

Question for you
I understand that you're not supposed to give nutes until sex
Then I read this
"Give them Veg, Bloom, Cal/Mag, & K from the time they show sex."
I'm wondering do you mix the veg/bloom nutes into water at the same time then feed?
So would it be 1/4 of veg nutes 1/4 of bloom nutes mixed into water then fed to the plants?

Hey RC! Sorry let me clarify for you!

I do mix them in the same JUG but ONE at a TIME. It is not recommended to mix veg and bloom together so I have never done that. I take my veg, measure it out, dump it in my 1 gallon jug, cap it, mix the crap out of it, un cap it, take my bloom nutes, measure, dump, cap it, shake it, etc... Repeat for every additive one at a time. So you can mix them all together in the same jug, just not together... I know they will essentially be together in the same mixture but you can do it. Also, let me add that is with Organics! With Chems you may want to give it to them seperately. Like one day give your veg, next day bloom, by themselves... I don't know if your organic or not but that's what's been recommended to me and what I've always done. Works well for me.

Right now I'm using SeaGrow 4-26-26. It's Veg & Bloom already together. It's also organic. Perfect for Autos. I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.
