Hi all...
Have any of you guys had any experiences with the meizhi 300w cob,is it a good light, does it perform well etc etc...i cant seem to find much on the net reviews etc,so im thinking its not that popular...cheers

Doesn't look like a bad light, uses a Cree cob.

2-3 years ago I used a Meihzi reflector series with decent results, and I think it's an OK brand.

140 watts from the wall means you could use to flower in a 2x2 tent.

For 180-200$ though, I'd get an HLG 135 rspec instead. Tried and true from a highly repped company.

Ok thanks for that...just looking at my optins atm...mainly on white light..have used mars pro in the past years with awsome results....before that the good old hps but thay are gone and dusted as far as im concerned, thay do perform well but way too hot and the electricity bill was way too high. Been looking at the mars sp or ts series...normally i would have good dollars to spend on a decent light, but now the mortgage, kids etc takes its told on the old wallet....thanks again.:pass:

Mars has a white light with a reasonable price also. Check the new TS or SP series. Both @baked in the bluegrass and @hairyman have white lights from Mars. I would love to have a ts2000 but @MarshydroTina hasn't given me one to test yet.

I do have the ts1000, not a bad qb for the price!
I am supremely interested in the sp lights as well tho.
I dont think either is a bad choice, and ya know ya get good in forum support with mars hydro!

Yeh...guys I have done alot Of research on both...the ts and sp series looks like good lights and the tests people have done on YouTube, par, ppm etc look good to me... the older model ts didn't come with ir and UV but mars said the updated ts models do....and thay both use different drivers but I Think the updated ts series mars has gotten rid of the plastic coating over the lights like the sp has due to well what thay say,the plastic coating retains the heat more..

I need to borrow a ts series light to compare before I make my next light purchase. I'm looking to replace 10 more lights with qb boards, but the ts series is a better design with the aluminum reflector built around it. Just dont know if they will be as bright as my qb boards.

My current setup is 4 qb120 2 mars cobs 2 Auto cobs and 10 strip lights, the strips were bright when I got them, but after 2 years of growing they are burning out and getting dim. The Auto cobs and mars cobs are still just as bright as the day I bought them. So anyone thinking cheaper is the way to go it's not. Buy smart and get name brand then you dont have to replace yearly.

looking forward to your review. don't forget to use the coupon code ‘AFN’ when you order next time.

Ok great thanks for that,i ended up getting a ts1000w just too see how thay perform, the plants have been under them for 5 days now, thay are loving it,very bright and with updated version its got the ir mixed in with the cool and warm whites, not bad mars stepping up in the game.

I will post a few pics in a few days, but by the looks of it i might buy another in a week or two,yeh sure i would of saved $30 or so buying a 2000 but i thought a trail was in order first, but yeh so far so good.
