Lighting MedGrower does HS1 grow - Mazar (Photosensitive / DWC)

Thank you RML!

Quick note: I started using a new foliar spray. I mixed up 0,5 ml of my Potassium Silicate solution and 2ml of Canna Boost to one litre of water. Had to still bring the pH of the solution down with pH down and had it set it 6.8 pH. I applied that to both babies just before the light went out and so far so good.

The idea with combination is that the silicone increases the chlorophyll production in the leaf that leads to benefits on photosynthesis and Canna Boost .....ehmm.... boosts the energy production, photosynthesis and metabolism of the plant.

Man, you do not need to correct pH for foliar feed. Think about this in this way: rain water is almost distilled water (20-30ppm max) and it is pH 7. SO you simply add your chosen combination of nutes to water and spray it :)

DAY 32

pH 6.2
EC 1.0
RH 56

Day before changing in new nutes. It is going good, plants are streching and as they do, I continue to spread them out horizontally and try my best to let the light in to those inner nodes under the top branches. Mostly LST and leaf tucking but also some really careful defoliation to parts that are just too busy.

I was thinking that I will give a little bit more stronger feed next. 0,5ml more calsium and magnesium and little bit more of the base nutes and see how it is going to go. What say you?

I'd say this is fantastic! Absolutely healthy plants, you are doing great!
I'd remove some of biggest fan leaves, which has bud sites under them :) Like 10-15 leaves from every plant :)
You may also lower PH a bit, to 6, when flowers will appear - to 5.8. Just my best experience with that.
Good, very good. Looking forward to see these in flower!

P.S> could you take photo of roots? That is very interesting too :)

Thanks! Your approval of the situation gives me confidence boost

Yeah I forgot to say that I was thinking of lowering the pH for the next week to 6.0 and then bring it down to 5.8 in coming weeks.

About shooting photos of the root.... Funny all those strings are just bend under the cap of the lid of the reservoir so it is bit of work just opening that lid now. And it is really hard to take a photo of the roots with my system camera with one hand. You know, it is heavy and I need a manual zoom and focus with it. And it is hard to get good light going down there without third arm holding a flashlight or something leading it to require a long exposure time... with holding heavy camera with one hand.
:face:

But yeah I should take a look at there soon and at least try to photo them.

Looking good MG

Thanks bro! I hope they keep going good and pushing a lot of bud :)

You may think about some kind of platform on DWC lid, like light plastic tube construction, jut to have all that together with the lid. This way you could take odd the lid with whole plant easily, to clean DWC tank to just look how roots are doing. This is really simply, just think about simple things :) I did put many small hooks in my DWC tank lid and these work fantastic :) But in your case i'd think about kind of frame fixed to tank lid, which would let to do any bondage you wish :) This way you could use all your box space.
About nutes: add more nutes only if you will add more light. Now it seems that there are enough nutes, do not overfeed them :) And more light now would be very very good, these bushes would turn into monsters!

@marimar Thank you with the advice about the nutes. EC has stayed stable at 1.0 so yeah I think you must be right! I keep the feed as it is, funny that my full feed is almost same EC as your tapwater in winter time (EC 1.0 / PPM 500) :)

I think I will do some updates to this reservoit based on what I've learned so far. Maybe I will end up with some plastic frames on the lid or something!

You know, i never pay too much attention to EC. I'm measuring it only for record, to be honest :D Simply i already know my nutes and always see how my plant is doing. After changing nutes (failures too) plant needs up to 3 days to fully show likes it these nutes or not. And that's it! Adding smaller portion, if after 3 days there are no signs of overfeeding - adding just some more with the feed. Main thing is not to overfeed, consequences are very bad - lockouts, burns, root damage, etc. So it is better to keep it just under the limit. Your plant tells you everything you need to know, just learn to see what it tells you :)

I think this will become my standard feeding schedule if all goes well. Sativa dominant strains might require even less nutes but I think this same schedule might work pretty good with them too. It is just crazy how little they need...or how hot those Canna nutes are :)
