MedCzech’s ManCave

Day 7 -phase 1 & Day 1 since we put beans in soil with Mephisto Family.

Violet will live on folks. Her stem was rigid again this morning, but I built her a little crutch anyways and propped her up more so she can get back to growing…happy about that. I bet her herb will be sweet!

Here is the rest of the crew. All look good. I had to help Aurora a little with that blue plant tag. She’s a little leggy. Her stem will stiffen up here soon. All good there.
Well, here they are…

Aurora is chugging away. Can’t complain really. She’s just a touch leggy right now.

Here’s Iris, the new girl in the neighborhood. Solid looking growth. A purple stem like her big sister Violet. Let’s go!! Love me some purple herbs.

They look good. There are actually two girls in the Mephisto Family that have gotten above ground and lost the shell. Three more to go and we will have a full bud for this trip to get MedCzech some Medicinal Christmas buds :xmas:

I turned the light down a bit earlier on in the day today. Small signs of light damage nothing serious, just I could see it. Only dropped intensity to 85%. They looked happier this evening when I checked them.

The new light came, I have already installed it, but I will get pics tomorrow. Went over to sister in laws for Tacos and Margaritas, with an Amazing Apple pie for dessert again. My GF is one hell of a cook.:stir:

Anyways, :thanks: thanks again for dropping in…more to come in the morning. The Mephisto sisters are going to get their names.

It’s a quality light for sure. Very bright, should cover the the area I wanted it too no problem.

Violet is growing. She is still stunted a touch, but thinking she could still catch up.

Still then more to come later today.
Thanks for stopping in, all is good in the ManCave today!

Day 8 cont’d

The Mephisto family names list is…

Double Grape- Fuscia
Sour Stomper x Double Grape- Lyla
Creme de la Chem- Brûlée
3BOG x Mango Smile- Goldie
Livers Bx1- Liv

There the family line up. More photosin the morning. Moved them around for better light coverage. All looking happy.:yay:

Day 9 “Steps forward…”

The girls are progressing, but it’s time to move three of the larger plants. Aurora, Charlotte, and Sugar moving to big 5 gallon pots and new locations in the tent. This is always a little nerve racking hoping they won’t freak out too much for the light switch. Especially the two going under the XS2000, a different spectrum than the TS1000.
Oh well, here we go…let’s do this folks!

Here’s the new set up for a few days until the other girls are ready for the move.

Sugar got a little spritz and feeding. Hope she likes her new home here.

I think I have the lights dialed in, this part always takes a minute with a. New space and new lights. Always the question, how much do you drop the lights, etc.:shooty:

Right now, all three new pots are definitely getting a more intense light right now. Just watching them and looking for signs of light over exposure. They look ok, but I will check again in a couple hours and see to be sure I can leAve then at the heights I have now moving forward. Should be just fine.

I left out some details and photos of the process. The roots were at the bottom of each cup and looked great. They were actually ready to go into veg and get more food and light. The big pots will give them the space and food, and the lights have been dropped.:eyebrows:
Mars Hydro ts1000 at 19” to soil over Sugar, and Viparspectra XS2000 at 22” to soil at only 65%. Plants seems to be responding nicely. We will know by tonight. I will check when I get back from work. I only have five hours in the office today.

I will give an update later tonight on how things look. Thanks for stopping in. :thanks:

Just before heading to work, they look happy under new more intense light. Making a note of the heights for record’s.
Here they are…

Sugar looking sweet.

Charlotte also happy with light.

Of course, Aurora is in her glory. Very perky looking to the light nicely I think…

see you all later. Check in again this evening.

:pass:

Day 10 “ Finally…”

It’s about time I get the lights dialed in. like a rookie with these new lights. Always remember folks less is more. In other words, always try to err on the side of low light versus too much. Plants can recover from a “cloudy” day, but might never recover from a heat wave!

Anyways, without further ado. Aurora

1568EC97-7A5B-4415-AF30-0ABD7E4AFDD3.jpeg

Looking very happy. Here she is from a side view.

Charlotte, the Runtz strain from Barney’s Farm, has a couple phenotypes that are both very good.
11D65A67-BBB0-4426-9BE1-40E008A596D0.jpeg

Much improved from being cooked last two days. Again,…my bad.

1FA17A22-8665-4E61-88D9-76F56BE7031E.jpeg

You can see her burns if you look close. The pinkish hue in the leaves. She will probably be stunted about 10 from her potential, but I will be training them anyway.
Next up,…Sugar. Strawberry Cheesecake :eyebrows:

All is doing well for those three. Can’t wait to start the training.

The rest of the little ones are recovering as well.

Day 12 MedCzech’s ManCave :growing:

Well, I am a little perplexed by light still, but trying to get dialed in. Reading the plants to see how they react.
I guess it looks like starting germination at 200ppfd moving to 250 for day 1 and 2, then bump each day up 25ppfd more until you hit the true veg. stage when the stem starts to wooden. That’s usually around day 12-15 or so. That’s when you can add a little more light again in stages. Each strain is different. Always one of my issues is that I growso many strains and their light requirements are often different.
I won’t lie though. I have not got these lights really figured out yet. I always seem to set it by what the book says and that either turns out to be too much or too little.

Anyways. The girls are fine. Here is Aurora, the Northern Lights.

She looks ready to go, and definitely the most healthy in the room right now.

Here Is her sister Charlotte, the Runtz.

Sugar is trying to catch up, but she looks to be a shorter variety. SB Shortcake…

Iris, Violet’s little sister is also struggling. Growth really curling up. Not sure what type of stress or if it’s nutrient based…Too much light, not enough?? Oh well. Hope she recovers. I moved her out of light a little bit. Let’s see if she likes that.

The rest of the little ones are coming along slowly in the seedling tray. Hopefully in a couple more days, we can start adding them into the mix with the bigger plants in the bigger pots.

I will report on a day or two. Hopefully I will have the lights sorted by then.
Thanks for stopping in and seeing the grow.
Potentially a very nice room coming!
