Mephisto Genetics Mcdee's Forgotten Cookies

 HELL YEAH hope mine look this good
Thanks buddy, coming from you that means a lot. I know you wont have any problems she was very easy going. I went to heavy with nutrients. I didnt have any ph down so and some extra MC. Worked but burned her now those tips are crispy will pull some more before they are stuck in there. Need to fill her out some, but with as much as I lst'd her think she is spread it around to hand grenades sized not full colas. Very frosty, I just gave her some Bud Factor X from AN. I had it sitting around not much left she will get maybe 2 feeding with it. If nothing else I'll be done with the bottle lol.

Thanks bud. I have been neglecting them with the holiday. I think that's why she was using her leaves, plus she has nutrient burn so tips were already done smells great going to try brown bag method to dry. I mess my shit up drying. Sometimes it's in a box in tent with other plants growing so not great dry. Normally I dont understand, hanging in dark air moving but not blowing on it. 50%rh 70°f wait till snap. And still dont get a good smell. Some do but most are not strong. I was reading people that try brown bag and they have the same experiences as me. So I figured give it a shot. I have read a ton of growers say this fixed their problem and I'm hoping to join that list lol. How do you dry bud?

I go all in when drying because it really makes a difference. I now dry in a spare bedroom with controlled RH and temp. 50% and 70F pretty much locked in. I have to use a humidifier to get 50%. and a 4 inch charcoal filter with inline fan to cut down odor in the house. takes a bit to dial in the fan extraction and humidifier and temp so they are all in balance. Right now I like to cut the plant in half and hang two half plants upside down that were wet trimmed to get rid of fans which I toss out and popcorn which I keep. After about 7-9 days they are done and I cut the branches down and cut off buds and final trim. It works great. My jars just reek of goodness. when I started out my drying sucked and it showed. my rec? do your best to get 50% RH and reasonable temp for a lengthy week long dry. And darkness.

That's just it, most of the time environment is perfect. Dries for about 7 day and by then its dry. A few have been quite smelly, but most are faint. Dont have a room to use gotta use tent for now. That's why gonna try this, never heard someone say it doesnt work so give it a go.

Day 66

We're back after the holiday, I hope all my fellow Americans had a great Thanksgiving! She is starting to take from her store energy in her leaves. I had skipped the MC last 2-3 feeding because she seemed to have a nitrogen toxicity. Gave her some today, dont want to deplete her just yet. She smells delightful and delicious. Removed some dead leaves today as well getting close now. She turned fast going to check her next week and see where trichs are at in development. I cant always take them when they are ready, sometimes it's when I can chop her in full. They sometimes go long if that's how life plays out. Not ideal, but such is life... Here are some pics of her today, sorry not best pics camera was having a bad day. Fingers were sticky hard to get a touchscreen to work with trichs all over them lol.

Frosting up now and bulking up too. However I noticed both plants look rather pale. Not sure what you are feeding them now, but the plant on the right is too young for that pale Color. Do you know the strength of your MC mix? Please don't take this the wrong way, but MC V2 tends to have this same issue with many growers. My buddy stopped using it for the exact same reason and his looked very similar. I liked V1 but V2 is very inconsistent IMO. And most people see the same pale growth in flower. Honestly it looks like a pH issue or underfeeding more than over feeding IMO. Good luck, peace slowandeasy

Its old, it was the free stuff the gave away the 1st time. She was very dark green and I had given more than I wanted so was assuming nitrogen toxicity. Then kinda neglected them, Thanksgiving didnt allow me to feed so were underfed I'm sure. Something wasn't right so I flushed 5 gal through her and skipped MC next feeding. Then holiday so didnt feed as soon as I wanted. I gave her 4g's of MC yesterday. I will feed again tomorrow or next day when she needs it. I'm betting tomorrow lol. Heard she was nutrient sensitive so may have went to low. I finished up the last of my biobizz lite this grow and I'm going back to promix. This is the second grow with it and both were smooth until mid/late flower. I not sure what im doing wrong, but I feel more comfortable with promix. Do you use both Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion? I thought I saw somewhere that you should use 1 or the other, but I have been using both. She actually has a bunch of amber trichs so may have to chop sooner than I was thinking.

I used to use Sweet Candy with every water. Bud Explosion is strong stuff and I was not using it regularly. Sweet Candy is mostly Magesium, but BE is a pK booster.

Hmmmmmm... I was not aware of that, I put probably to much magnesium in. Calmag says to use 1.8g but I've been doing 2.0g because I use R/O water. I wonder if I have been giving her magnesium toxicity slowly. This is the 2nd grow with full lineup so that could be my issue to much magnesium. Not sure I have enough time to correct her, she is almost ready. May have to ride her out and learn from this, which is ok. I dont mind mistakes as long as I learn from them.

So when and where is the sampling going to take place?

I'm ready now lol nice grow
Thanks bud, soon got something going on with her right now just want to get her across the finish line. Maybe next Monday I will chop her, trichs are a lot further along than I expected. She has a nice tasty scent but still can fill out a little more.

I don't think it's Mag overdose. The BE is more likely to cause you issues. I would ride it out. But be aware of BE. It's not needed and can cause problems if you add too much. Sweet Candy never caused me any issues. I used to use 2.0g per gal of Cal-Mag. It's not too much for Coco and Cobs. Your leaves won't get better at this point. But in the future I would try a plant without BE to see if that is the cause or not. Good luck, peace slowandeasy
