Hi all. I have recently acquired a new mini tent in which im unable to get the temps any lower than 30-31c.

The plant looks fine, but temperatures from 150w of leds and two 24w strip lights can reach 32 degrees. The addition of a carbon scrubber seems to really affect circulation.

What in your opinion/experience is the maximum allowable temperature? Im growing a lowryder 2 in this tent.

Thanks in advance.

Can you get some co2?

You are about at the max temps with that tent man. I would set the scrubber outside the tent, place the extraction fan on top and pull the air out of the tent, keeping the end of the extraction hose at the top of the tent. If that doesn't work, you may have to ditch the 24x strips. You will have to play with it, but you may have a few degrees more, before the plants cant transpire. You will know when that happens, growth will slow way down and the leaf edges will raise up and look like a saw, like these...

I really wanted to do this originally as its what i do with my tiny 30x30x60 tent and it works perfectly well. But cant do it with this tent as its crammed into an alcove in a closet with very little floor space.

The strips i want to keep as im not convinced the old led ufos are spectrally correct... though i guess for another $10 i could replace the current 24w t4s with some 12w ones, theyre a few centimeters shorter though the jury is out on whether the ballasts are any cooler. I doubt the tube itself is what makes most of the heat.

Heres some pics, leaves look perfectly healthy to me, after two days with the strips (which also stay on at night, for moon lighting):

What do you think?

Some of the early leaves are mutated, seems to be pretty common with autos and unrelated to temps which before the strips were around 27-28 for 30 days.

Ive been thinking about making a couple of bottles, though have heard from better growers than me it does nothing, so im on the fence. What say?

Can you leave the door open?

Scrubber pull with the silentub 100 is pretty bad as it is, opening the bottom zip to make a crack 20 by 1 cm does nothing.

I don't think the bottles or bags do much so I guess I was really asking if you wanted or could do a bottled co2 system

I would play with the bottom venting. Do you have all the vents on the bottom open? Great little setup man! Love me the mini grows! Takes a special hand to pull off a great grow in a little space, heat being the main culprit! You are going to have to mess around with a few things to get the temps down. Might be a problem if buds start to form in flower and you dont have proper ventilation!

Have played with it to little effect... though i just remembered i have another one of those 12 cm fans, i might see if moving the air in some slightly different way will help hmm.

The simple solution is to get one proper light instead of the three UFOs, but why, when i have these lying around? Id rather get some heat tolerant strain i think, ill have to look into that :chef:

Get some liquid silicon in them worked a treat for me was running up to 35 at some points and silicon really helped them
