You can get two Reflector 96 for the 2x4 tent first, when youi upgrated to 4x4, add another reflector 96 will be almost enough. :) And with three lights, you can adjust them more flexible. :)

Only thing with the reflectors is I'm a little more interested in the Mars II with the 5w leds. With the reflectors I've heard nothing but good things and see a lot of people using them and getting great results! But I'm interested in the new technology as I understand it has great light penitration abilities. I know more lights can make my life easier so I'm leaning towards that. I've read that about 50w of light per square foot of your grow area is a great number to go by. Does that sound correct with Led as well? If so would i b making that measurement off of the watts of all the LED lights or would I measure using watts that are truly drawn by the led? For example a 900w is around 500 actual watts. So with that light would I have over 100w per square foot or would I have roughly over 55w per square foot, assuming my tent is 8 square feet.

Yep, Discretepete, you can use one Mars II 900w, the light will be stronger as the leds are closer to each to each other. :smoking: One 900w is around 450w, during veg it will be absolutely enough for either your 2x4 tent or the upgrated 4x4 tent. However, during flower if you use it in the 4x4 tent, it won't be enough, the coverage and the watt, you need to add another light. :) :toke:

Awesome Tina thank you. You are always so helpful. I'm in process of moving into a new house so I'm still about two weeks out from my purchase at the very most. I've set my mind on Mars products though. After searching day in and day out I always come back to your product :) just choosing which light/lights is the hardest part :) thanks again for your help Tina! Have a great day :)

Your always welcome. Have a great day you too.:)

Hey Tina how are you today? The Mars pro epistar160 for my 2 foot by 4 foot tent with 3 plants under it. Will they b enough light to get me to harvest? Says is equivalent to a 600w hps on your website. Covers a 2'x4' space just like mine. But no one here on AFN has used them so we don't know the results  for almost equal power consumption and price, would you recommend a 1200 Mars 2 or the epistar 160? Am I paying more for a better light or for all the remote technology and the fact that I can change the spectrum to how I see fit in each stage making lighting customizable?

with 2 96x3 side by side in a 2x4 you will need skinny fingers to turn them off/on:pighug:

The Epistar is around 380w, so for your space 2x4 will be around 47w/sft, pretty enough :) It actually cannot replace a 600w HPS, watt for watt usually, it can replace a 400w HPS
The Mars II 1200w however has a 576w actual power, so can replace a 600w HPS. But, for your space, one Epistar 160 should be enough. The growing result is better than Mars II as we don't add any lens on the light, the light can be used 100% and also the spectrum mixed very well, more like natural light. :)
