Mars Hydro New lights -- SP series (we need tester)

The vid has less info than the product page. I actually speak their mother tongue fluently along with several local dialects. Even so, that vid was painful to watch.

I don't really understand the reason for the masks. Isn't what they do totally legal?

The video does show the lights much more up close. I can see the added blue and red. I wonder if the white leds comes in different color temps? Like the usual 3000K, 3500K, 4000K? If already with added blue, I would prefer a 3000K white led. Otherwise, 4000K with only red supplement diodes replacing the blue ones. Knowing what diodes they are and if they can offer an 80 or 90 CRI option would make a huge difference and could set them apart.

The length is interesting to me cos it would be cool to put them by my 90cm x 20cm board side by side to see the difference? The length seems to be similar.

Tina,

I have a driver suggestion that can really help add value to a pretty awesome light that your company has!

You are currently using the Meanwell ELG 240h 36A. As I understand, it does not offer dimming capabilities on its own. Also, your boards dont go more than 191W or 196W so using the 240h is a bit of a waste, although it may run slightly cooler. Your heatsink looks so awesome that I don't feel the extra heat will matter at all.

Dimming is much more important for QBs than COBs in my experience. By just spending a few dollars extra, you can use the HLG 185H 36A which can EASILY drive your board to the 200W that you want AND also allow customers to DIM the lights using a screwdriver. There are two screws built into the driver to allow dimming. For those who don't wanna dim, just leave it alone!

LITERALLY a few dollars (Less than $5) difference between the two drivers and I'm comparing on Digikey for one unit! You guys can get it MUCH cheaper in bulk!

Show this to your technical staff!
