Merry Christmas Tina!

Unfortunately, Christmas is not a public holiday in China.

An interesting tradition that I've only seen in China, they give out Apples on Christmas Eve. In Mandarin, Christmas Eve is known as the Peaceful Night. Apple in Mandarin/Chinese sounds close to Peace. Thats how I figured it. Regardless, its pretty darn weird. These days, people ask for APPLE phones instead LOL!

When I told them exactly what Christmas meant, short of preaching the gospel, very few to none knows the story of Jesus. Yet, every commercial establishment in town is decorated to the stars in Christmas decorations! LOL

It has been Tradition in my Family to have a apple and a Orange in our stockings as Children it was something my Gandmother brought over with her family from England.

At least they have fun with decorations and thinking about PEACE is a beautiful thing it brings a tear to my eye. Have a great holiday Tina my friend.
