What type of lighting? How high is Light from plants?

Also red side up on cover - red actually increases under Lighting per Earthbox

Get yourself some of these to stick in the drain hole. It will except 3/8" tubing that you can run to a can or even put a can under it. No more water dribbling down the side. I put hose washers on each side- not sure you need em. Enlarge hole to 3/4" and you'll literally thread them into the container. I got mine at Tractor Supply but I'm sure you can get at depot/lowes.

I simply put box up on a couple short 2x4s, two tall, makes for easy cup placement and spills easy to wipe up and you can raise or lower plant a few inches if needed ..... yes drawbacks if height concerns but otherwise makes clean ups and management of area a breeze and speaking of breeze being up off floor helps with air circulation too!

I’ll go grab some 2x4 pieces at Home Depot tomorrow! I have a tractor supply near me but earthboxes already have soil in em so can’t alter em now! Being off ground seems like it’ll help so I can use a larger more sturdy drain container! And I’m poor @MrOldBoy so I’m still rocking my 250w alibaba qb and need a 2nd for the 4x4! Should I grab a 3rd to put in the 2x4 or should I get a 2nd autocob for it?? I’ve never ran full cycle under just autocob to know if 2 is a better fit for the smaller 2x4 tent?!? Also don’t know which run cooler?!? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I dont recommed Cobs for short tents. They work fine for veg, but flowering the plants get too close to them in 2x4 tents without a lot of training. QB can get closer. I have made 50+ Autocobs, they work great...but not ideal for shorter tents to be honest. I prefer my cobs to be a couple feet away from my plants to avoid the spotlight effect. I actually made an 18x32 Lightbar with 6 Samsung Light bars so I can flower in one of my 2x4 tents. I have 3 of them. They are perfect size to start Juniors and veg them with cobs if you want. I use 1 3500k and 1 6500k Cob in my 2 veg tents that are 2x4. But unkess you have a short Indica or train a plant to remain very short, Cobs are not ideal for flowering in 2x4s. Peace, slow

Is 7’ tall enough cuz I have gorilla tent! Also I have the extension if it needs to hit 8! I think know if they’d run cooler since tents are in bedroom! Didn’t wanna roast when Tx heats comes roaring at me! If def qb either way then I’ll prob just order a 4 board qb with 4 heat sinks unless can get consolidated hopping cost and I’ll get 2 I can operate separately in case some plants r younger! for da pointers broham!

Ok, I didnt realize your 2x4 was 7 to 8ft tall. Mine is 5ft. That extra 2 to 3 feet is key. You can use 2 Cobs in there if you have that height. Do you already have 1 Autocob?

Still trying to figure out lights myself but I do know an dimmable light is my preference- COB or whatever but make it Dimmable if possible, especially with a small tent ......

Ya it comes in handy that the OG gorilla tent models are 6’11” amd have 1’ extension included! The lite is 6’7” but extension isn’t included! And as for autocob I traded some beans to someone who won 1 of them from festivus giveaway cuz like 2 weeks before winning he bought 1 of those fluence spyderX lights! Need to check cuz don’t think autocob has dimmer option (mine doesn’t have 1) but not sure if possible to add cuz not sure what driver it uses?!? I guess need to see if I get a multi light discount + consolidated shipping I’ll prob just order 2 separate 250w boards so I can control brightness separately for the 4x4 and since if I only get 1 shipping cost the $140ish for the 250w qb is about same price as autocob! I’ll save it in case I need extra light between crossbars in big tent!

Little update right quick! It prob needed 3 or o days more in rootmakers but since the toofless alien was on the lid of dome I had to transplant it! Worms were real active down in transplant hole an every time I pull mulch back I see multiple lil baby worms!

Transplant for gold glue shall be following in short succession! :smoking:
