Happy half term week (if ya got kids that is), been super busy with kids this week and just founds time to catch up.

coming along nicely there Stoney apart from the nute miss hap... it may not be important but did you do a small flush after the nute burn ? On my last grow with the Zombie Kush I managed to lock all the girls out. If i had just given them a small flush after the nute burn I may have saved the situation. I didn't really notice until it was to late (end of wk 5) as they was staring to finish and I'm like what no weight...nearly blamed the genetics, secound run and they are blowing up.

Strange how auto's can be finicky and be very sensitive but I never locked one out even after over feeding plenty of times... done it couple of times with photo's and lock them out straight away.

Its something that I wouldn't normally have not been worried about. Never been a problem in the past but I should have taken note from Zombie grow at week 3 when I did it. They just stopped moving, I think it was to much Nitrogen, they where super dark green, remo is heavy with it.
It wasn't a huge nute burn but enough to lock them out, pushed them over with the salt build up even with 10-20% run off each water. So just as an air of caution I've been doing a small flush if I think there is any chance I've over fed them... secound round on the zombies cut the EC in half and massive difference in the grow, buds twice the size at the same stage in week 4.

something crossed my mind after I left the last post which I should have said... even when you think your bang on with the EC level nute burn can be caused by salt build up, I think that's what happen to me, over feeding over a longer period of time until boom the girls couldn't take no more and shut down. Even with good run off it built up in the medium... it's made me re think my watering and bringing my EC down even more at the start of flower.
I'm also wondering if different brands of coco hold on to different amount of salts. I recently swapped to those dry coco blocks from canna coco to save a few pennys. So far loving them but have noticed I need to flush out the medium every 2 weeks. Even with run off I'm still getting a salt build up. At the moment its keeping me on my toes checking the run off ppm's.

i did cheak my runoff and it wasnt insanely high just abit above what id been feeding them iv also started using the bricks but didnt think there would be much of a differnce i used to always do a flush when swithing from veg to bloom but stopped when i done a few auto runs maybe its time to start doing that again for photos keep them clean i found this cool littel gadget made by draper tools its a small pump thats driven by a cordless drill looks perfect for small rez changes
alot cheaper that a electric pump if you have a cordless drill lying about

loving the little pump, just might have to get me one. Got an idea how that could be useful.

I thought that about the coco bricks but what made me think was that i read some where... or was a you tube vid... mmmm... Can't quite remember where now but I'm sure Canna said that you don't need to flush their coco, so I wasn't.
like you said best be safe than sorry and time a flush every couple of weeks.

sweet lil gadget aint it
a flush every few weeks sounds like to much work for me but deffo possible in your system took me over a hour and half to flush the four plants and get rid of the water i suppose i could have took them into the shower but i didnt fancy getting them through 3 doorways
:pass:

Ah yes I can totally understand your situation. I was in the same boat 6 months ago until I plumbed the tents in.
I've not been flushing that much water through, topping up the remainder feed in the tank until I have a ppm of about 200-300. About 25-30ltrs for 6 x 12ltr pots.

another week gone over the bumps now i think now futher burn but not much progress in the bud department and lots of orange hairs im guessing that these are all going to be 10 plus weekers hope so anyways its about week 6 ish and there aint alot of bud yet
