I grow in 6 inch Hugo rock wool cubes. I use a drip to waste precision fertigation.
My source water can come from different sources during the year. Surface water will be ~ 80 PPM, well water can come in over 180 PPM. When I am getting well water I run an RO system to blend the tap water down to ~ 80 PPM
I treat the 6" cubes at PH 5.5; I also mix in the nutrients I want to use for the first 9 - 11 days, The cubes must soak for 30 minutes or longer to neutralize the lime left from manufacturing the rock wool. I do this in 5 gallon buckets so I must mix the nutrients based on 4.5 gallons volume. There after fertigation is based on the reservoir of 10 gallons. This is noted on the chart. I have the cubes soaking.
