New Grower Malana Bomb ( either stunted or Runt)

Oh I had a ton of sticky trim, so I ziplocked it and stuck it in the freezer @Beerhunter CDN , got a bubble bag set ordered and am gonna try to do a icebath with it!
Awesome! I tried using bags with a buddy and didn’t get too much out of it. I think it might have been because we used a paint mixer on a drill to mix it all. By hand is tedious but I actually think it might yield better.

I have a big water cooler and am just going to use that with my air pump and 4 air stones lol
You could always go old school and sift them with screens! I'll probably go that way, granted I don't kill my babes. You will have to show the haul of crystals from the trimmings, it looked like you had so many crystals

Okay well, it dried faster than I would have liked, but I did wet trim and destem, and I think that sped it up. I will harvest differently from now on after that learning experience. Mild grass/hay smell not overly bad but noticeable. Very very sticky stuff. I moved it to my jars for curing 2 Amber glass 1/2 gallon jars. It filled 2 of them, one with large bud and one with medium and small. I threw in a 55% packet to see how it does, may increase to 62% or 65%, we will see. Broke up a couple small nugs to medicate with, not overly harsh and not bad at all. I think I might of left her a bit longer, and will wait better on the next go around after I move and am settled. Final dry weight was definitely lighter than I first expected at a loss of 50% for drying, it was more like 70%. So I ended up with 125 Grams dry weight far off the 160ish I was thinking, but still plenty to go around til my next harvest.

Heya @Daxxor, awesomesauce again on getting to this point in this grow.
What will you do differently next time to slow down the dry?
Not that ive got to worry about harvesting and drying anything yet but it never hurts to get a jump on these things.
Edit- possible stupid noob question....would the cure help get rid of the hay taste? Some science mumbo jumbo about chlorophyll breaking down or something?

Due to branches breaking I chose to wet trim, let dark 24 hr, then destem and finish trimming and then dry on a mesh rack and amberglass jars for curing. I would change to one, leaving her go a few more days or until she slowed showing white pistols with all the amber, I harvested her too soon. I would cut the base and hang the entire plant in the dark for two days, then wet cure large leaves, and leave others on, slow dry her for like 10 days and then finish trimming her. Leave her on the stem until completely dry and then debud them, allowing the stems to help draw and dry.

Also to my knowledge once you get the hay smell/taste there is no getting rid of it, sign that she was harvested too early. My first go at it, so I am okay with the fact I didnt kill it in the process of learning!

Some of the smell will go away it’s gassing off chlorophyll. Give it a good cure try to stay in the 65-60 % range and slowly drop it burping on a schedule.
Yeah I have read about this as well. The grassy smell should fade into a dank smell as they cure in the jars. Haven't experienced myself but it is a reoccurring theme when I have read articles and researched :pass:
