Making Female Seed

I was wondering why more people on here don't try making their own female seed? Is it more difficult with autos? I've made my own photos and I'm interested in making my own auto females. Any input from some people on here with experience would be greatly appreciated.

There's lots of threads on the site about making fem seeds. Personally I just like having a mix of males and females on hand. I might try it some day for shits n giggles, but it's not at the top of my canna to-do list.

Isn't their a way to make a female auto seed with Colloidal Silver? Does this work with Auto's? I've seen that all the autoflower seeds they sell are female. I'd like to get some male auto seeds to get some seed stock going. Anyone know of a place that sells male auto seeds?

GA3, CS and over maturing, what is the best/easiest/most effective method?

yeah Taviddude the colloidal silver method is what would be used. You spray a female plant with colloidal silver until it turns male and then use that pollen on another female. The seeds you end up with are feminized. You can just spray one limb and use the the pollen on the one plant itself also. It really is easier to just buy fem seeds but its a hobby for me and I really enjoy it.

I've never heard of anyone making male seed and wouldn't know how to go about doing that.

Over maturing would just be making regular seeds and spreading hermi genetics. All the threads I've read on here seem to agree on CS for females. There's a ton of threads on here about making female seeds, just browse back through the breeding section or use the search function.

Tavid- most places that sell autoflower seeds sell regular seeds, i don't know what seed bank you've been looking at. This site is connected with a seed bank that sells regular seeds,

Now you've got me thinking about it too! I was on another site a while back where a guy had a how to thread on making your own CS. He used a silver coin, a battery and a glass of water. I don't know if any of you watched Mr Wizard as a kid but it brought me right back!

Yeah, taviddude, where ya been? Ahh, I'm just pokin' fun. Hope you don't take offence.

But yeah most everyone sells Regular seeds as well as the feminized seeds. The reg ones are how you get males. It'll be about 50/50. I think maybe you mean, like does anyone have somehow genetically 'made male seeds'?, like we make fem seeds. The answer is negative. That would be kinda cool for the breeders.

Edit: Oh...and I am pretty sure that none of the seeds on our sites' store are fem seeds. All regular.
