LST hooks

Here's my lst setup,

First, make sure u brace the main stem, and then slowly and carefully bend over the branches. I poked holes in my fabric pots and then connect d the fuzzy sticks to the branches..

Check out a video on YouTube called " bowl training" from Neil, grow pot cheaply is the channel..

I've used straight wire I've bent at one end to a hook. I simply bend the stem
or branch and press the wire into the grow medium (I grow in soil) and hook over wood. Different lengths cover what's necessary.

What size are the longest ones?

The hooks I make from AWG 12 insulated wire. They are averaging 5-1/2, 6, 7-1/2, 9-1/2 and 12. I keep them in a kitchen utensil tray. I start LST around D29 after seed or during Transition (W4). By then I have a substantial stem and branches to begin to shape. LST can be removed at W10 (late bloom, D64) as stems and branches have hardened. I like to keep the main stem stressed until harvest to keep the "plateau" of colas well exposed to light. Do start your bend slowly but don't be afraid to flex a green plant. The stem will lay back at a 45 to a 65 degree. DO NOT ATTEMPT any LST after W10.
