Good Morning All-

Please see my attached pics of my lady at 69 days old from seed today.

Used FFOF mixed with perlite and this plant never went through the stretch period that I have been reading about. First timer here so be patient:)

As I want to be totally organic, what does everyone think of Roots Organic brand? Or should I just use FFOF cut considerably?

Thanks

I use Roots organic in all my grows and have had no issue... how close were your light and what size is that pot.... I want to point you to the micro section of AFN and you will see plants that are the same age as yours grown in a shot glass that are no bigger then 6 inches... they will grow or not grow based on their surroundings.

Thanks Dark Green. It's my first grow so I am trying to do it right. My CFL 100 watt lights were and still are about 2" away as I was told keep them as close as possible as they throw off no heat. Was that correct?

Also been told to chop her in about 10 days. What do u think?

I have no experience with CFLs bro, but what I would say is, from what I've seen of CFLs, you've done very well.

I couldn't say when it'll be done, the calyx look fat, but the pistils (hairs) I can see still look pretty white, rather than the orange that the majority will 'usually' be, at harvest.

I only started growing last year myself, but one piece of advice I am actually qualified to give would be, do not rush.

You can't really over do it, and chopping early could ruin your entire effort.

Get a jewellers loupe or magnifying glass, and check the colour of the trichomes, if you see that some are amber in colour, you're pretty much good to go.

A pro grower will show up sooner or later and give you a more informed opinion (traffic can be slow here) but I wouldn't chop it in 10 days personally.

The longer you wait, the stronger the fruit ;)

Have to agree you need to look at your trich's I like them to be mostly milky with about 5 to 15% amber.. I usually start my flush at the first sight of amber...

Great information everyone. I know patience is key so I'm learning✌️

Good Morning All.

Well today marks her 71 day from seed. Not much news to report. The white hairs on the bottom half of plant are turning orange. Top still has white hairs. Anyone have any thoughts as to why? Gave her straight distilled water on Sunday and soaked her to begin the cleansing process. Using organic nutes.

Her middle buds are getting fat and nothing on top.

Thanks for giving the new guy advice.

Excuse me. I used organic nutes. General Organics to be exact

I use roots now and have switched from happy frog. The FFOF is a little too hot for me. You grow the low ryder right and it can produce good. I have pulled 48G dried form low ryder #1 before. The roots organic nutrients are good. I like them a lot but I like soil amendments better over bottled nutrients now. Its easer and the taste and smell is better for me.
