Hey, I've got my girls in 3gal fabric pots, on a layer of clay pebbles, on plastic saucers. I know it's normal enough for some roots to pop through the bottom but I've just picked one up to weight test and the amount of roots growing through the bottom was unreal. Some picked up pebbles easily and all are very healthy looking.

I don't water to run off, they've had 1 litre max feeds so far and are 5 weeks old. Should I change it up somehow or is everything cool?

Bit tough to get pics.

This is a good thing. It indicates healthy plants and they will air prune themselves via the pots eventually anyway. I have four plants and one wss suffering a calmag issue. Judging by the roots from the bottom I could tell it was unhealthy even more because the roots were not abundant. I drain to waste in Growpito Sim mix and those pictures were from 12 days in. Enjoy

Your pebbles are damp, that's why the roots are growing like that. If you put it on a wire mesh, they would air prune, as there would be no moisture for them to develop.

Cheers @Rollin_along, just had a look for some. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, just wake and baked :) but where to find some sturdy enough to take the weight?

Where are you located? Slab concrete reinforcement mesh? Old BBQ grills? Expanded metal. There is probably something specific. Or just leave it, it's not hurting anything, maybe trim them off every not and then.

Cheers! Haha, guess I could have put a bit more thought into that :D

I think I'll leave it for now and get something set up for next time. It's become a little too cramped in there to be messing around now. After yours and others advice of 2-3 max in my grow space I bought a 1.5mx1m tent and another light. Popped 4 x GSC and 2 x NL, one GSC taproot grew into itself so I popped another. Got 7 in there now, albeit the deformed GSC is only 15cm at 5 weeks but perfectly healthy :)
