Welcome to afn, great place with great people. You're off to a good start. It's a good beginner light you have, I'm using the same one myself for over a year now. It can grow some great buds for sure. You will soon find out that quantum boards and strips is the new thing tho. Best of luck

Thanks man, good to hear the light is still working for you! Definitely seems like I'm in the right place for a bit of support and advice.

Out of interest, what height do you drop yours to at this early stage? I'm sitting 20" above soil currently. Reluctant to drop farther as the girls seem happy and don't appear to be stretching anymore.

No problem man. I was searching for info about the lamp everywhere at the beginning. I'm starting at 24" from top of plant and let them grow up, into the light so to speak. From there on I keep distance if possible around 15". Had them as close as 8 at times. Some strains love it, others not so much.

Hi mate! Subbed and following along with interest. Very similar dimensions to me. Only thing I'd suggest just now is use calmag from the start so you don't end up like me.

First bump in the road last night...

After I fell asleep last night my WiFi plug controlling the extractor fan decided to turn itself off. As you can see, the temperature peaked at about 31c....
I slept though the notification from the Ubibot and as a result my girls had a bit of a hot night.

Saw the notification as soon as I woke up. Turned the fan on and popped my head in the tent after a shower. The looked fine, so I gave them a wee drink and went to work.

They're not fine. Returned home, first thing I did was check on the girls...

Northern Lights (8 days)

Blue Mystic (7 days)

The BM seems to have recovered a bit since I got home but the NL is definitely showing a bit of punishment on the lower leaves.

Changed the WiFi plug out so hopefully all will be well in the future.

I've let my girls down. Hopefully they won't hold it against me.

Hi EYewood, I’m a long time stoner myself, finally getting around to my first grow. Sounds like you have a great setup.

I’m running a 3 bucket DWC grow now and I sure could use a WiFi machine like you have. I go in the tent at least 4 times a day, sometimes more, to check the pH on all 3 buckets. I’d love to have one that told me that. But I can’t complain really, I love to admire the ladies and I have to refill the humidifier, top off the water levels, and whatnot anyhow.

Sounds like you hit the first bump in the road and your device told you exactly what caused it. That’s a nice luxury there!
