A stunning photograph of stars including the Orion constellation both in the sky and reflected in a completely still pond has been revealed.

The beautiful photograph shows the night sky as seen in freezing conditions in the north of England.

Amateur photographer Andrew Fusek Peters took the photograph in the Long Mynd moorland in Shropshire on Monday night at around 10.15pm GMT.

The photograph shows Sirius, the brightest star in the earth's sky, towards the left of the frame. Sirius is so bright because it is a binary star system, two stars orbiting each other, made up of a white main-sequence star called Sirius A, and a faint white dwarf called Sirius B

Amateur photographer Andrew Fusek Peters took the photograph (pictured) in the Long Mynd moorland in Shropshire on Monday night at around 10.15pm GMT. It shows Sirius, Orion and some stars in the Taurus constellation all reflected in the still pool

The stars are all reflected in the perfectly still Wildmoor pool.

The photograph shows Sirius, the brightest 'star' in the Earth's sky at night, towards the left of the frame.

Daddy was bad and forgot to water one day and this girl objected to this type of behaviour and immediately drooped her leaves . So daddy responded by hydrating her and misting her and still no response so daddy cut of the drooping leaves and low a behold let there be life . Now I know some people would say pluck her but I will not and I'm betting she might give me the best bud yet . This may become the way of the future .
fucknA, no plant left behind

Ahhh. A fellow sky watcher. Great pics Mossy.
Do you ever watch the ISS pass over? Some nights you can make out the outline, most its just the fastest and brightest light in the sky.
There is a phone app that tells when it will be passing and lets you aim right at where it will appear. It is neat neat.
