For those into North American hockey, watch for the NHL outdoor series with Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings playing outside at the local baseball stadium (Coors Field) tomorrow. Alumni game tonight should be fun to watch as well.

A-Train. Young kids? I'm not being a smart ass when I ask to please make sure they KNOW the basic rules of the game.
I can still remember my only pee wee at bat around age 10. Opening day. I actually got on base on balls. I still get embarrassed. Nobody told me anything about having to tag up on a fly ball. I just ran like hell to second. Proud for a split second , then, OUT. I won't say it traumatized me, but I've spent way too much time dwelling on it over my life. Everyone just assumed I knew the rules but forgot to teach me.

Hear you loud and clear Feenix . For me I wish somebody had of explained the Game of Life never mind the rules so that I hadn't spent so much time dwelling on it and the associated rules . Today I'm still learning and getting tired because some son of bitch keeps changing the game . :nono:

I can relate . Most of what I learned young was by show and tell examples of what not to do. A common Shanty Irish trait in my neighborhood. I have no regrets being Shanty. But some lessons that didn't come out of a jug would have been helpful.:friday:

Doing anything exciting this weekend? I think we're staying in, Teh wife had a nutsy week and wants to crash. I'll prolly just work in the garden. Gotta start getting the vegetable garden too. Time to start prepping and seed starting.
