She is Cute as a button..years of Love there..

can almost hear the buzzzzzzz

You want to hear them when the carob come into season..it is Late in the season..you would think all the bees were hibernating..but the trees Buzz..and there are literally thousands of tiny bees per tree..

The sunlight here, even though the sun is never overhead, the combo of 24 hrs light and the fact that the atmosphere is thinner towards the poles, creates an explosive growing environment, have to experience this to believe.

I was wondering about he light levels reflected off the snow..compared to say the UK where the winter sky is overcast blocking any sun out. :headbang:

So, for me, keep growing compost until I can get a decent patch of potatoes going and have enough cabbage to put up a years worth of latic acid vegies, sourkraut

I was looking at a worm composter..mainly because it said you could compost dogs poop and the worms remove any toxins from it.
It was the first thing that I have seen for making use of dog poop..but the units are expensive.

bumph says.."particular organic wastes as the dog and cat poop could also be treated. Earthworms are voracious eater and can break down even these wastes and remove..apart from odour one of the major problems of dog and cat poop..the pathogens responsible for disease orders.
The pathogens are killed in the vermicomposting process.."

hmm.....dog poop..I'm still not convinced..

Damn and double damn or should that be................???

Ever since I proudly won the 'step' award for alleged abuse of a penguin, interesting things have happened and I've missed pages of LSG (caught up now!)

One of my old Bus Driving friends is at the end of a very messy divorce in the states, got sweet FA and I've been trying to get him back! Bloody airline websites are nightmare............................ all I have to do is buy a ticket from ORD to CWL but, no is it simple? No it is not!! Find a good price and then it changes back to another fare..........coz it's not available FFS!

So I've been busy most of the weekend with that!

harvested some Black Stones last night....................he he (Mutley style!)

Will spread some slappage around soon.................can you believe I knocked Pengu this far? :crying:

Well, here goes, back in ancient youthful days had a worm farm, yes, with the inlaws. 2 acres covered with decomposing organic "waste", I say "resource", and millions of worms. Mossy. you don't need no bought in the marketplace kit. This is the easiest, plus, us gardeners need bulk nutes and conditioner, so large piles of decomposing organic material are digested fast with large amounts of earthworms. If you have earthworms in your soil, make a pile and keep it moist, all you do. Oh, dog poop becomes plant food too

harvest has to help dealing with the other

Mossy, light levels, sorry to twist your neck, MickeyB needs to show me how to flip the image. In the spring, waiting for green house season last year, grew a Russian Fuel in the window. Planted April fools day, the snow reflectance so intense solar panels pump 2-3 times our daily needs, and you need to wear shades in the cabin. Ran a 25w supergrow LED 16/8 with the solar blast. The window dressing 20 days from harvest, after the snow has melted
