thanks for the rep @Lil Dab. I had a look at your new light, and it looks like a beauty. I didn't realize that HLG had gone to the bar design, excellent idea IMO. That light should do really well for you.

Some of these recent bar designs might just have persuaded me back when I was setting up, but they were not available at these prices then.

The main limitation of my setup so far is that I initially used too many 5500K bulbs, and that produced plants that were mostly too squat. I have increased the 2700K bulbs now, and that seems to have helped nicely. The nice thing is that I can adjust spectrum by just changing the mix of Kelvin ratings. But, the main thing I really like is that every light has its own ballast, ballast failure is never going to affect a grow. I need the extra heat, so there is no efficiency downside for me with my winter grow.

But I do love that new light of yours.

Yes oxy-acetylene but that is a rose bud tip on for heating stuff up. I warped those plates welding them on. So now I need to get them flat again by heating up super hot and clamping them flat to the table

Ok, now I understand. I never got into the Oxy-acetylene setup with my home rig, so didn't recognize the tip. Getting gas tanks is a serious hassle, even for my Mig machine. By the time I use up the gas in one of the three different tanks, the supplier has gone tits, or changed owners or whatever, and does not want to exchange my personally owned tank any more even though I bought the thing from them. Drives me nuts. I dread running out of gas because I know that here I go again...

Spud Nuts are done.....got 81 but not telling how many I ate already. The wife is making up baskets and then we are off on a mission to spread the holiday cheer. It takes me a long time to get into the spirit of the season, but once I'm there.......it is a special time. I'll catch up to you all later

Thank OF yeah it is the first bar style they have made. Seen a couple par maps that look really good plus it is HLG and from what I’ve seen / heard they wouldn’t produce junk. The video I shared earlier confirms that.

P.s. it ain’t mine yet order isn’t placed yet tonight or tomorrow depends on when I can get to the bank to deposit some money’s

Turned off the smoker. Going to have to put a real temp gauge in there to find out what really does. One on the front only goes to 350 and it was pegged. Wondering if I might be able to use it to sterilize things.
