I had hand surgery 10 years ago and couldnt play for a year. When I picked up my guitar at the end of that healing year, my calluses were gone and holy shit did it hurt, had them calluses since I was 12. Tried a couple times and just went too pussy to push through it and get them back.
Now the other night the wife says, u know what I miss, when u would serenade me in the kitchen every sunday while I cooked, so I'm gonna give it another shot, the rewards were pretty pleasing back then.

I really didnt want to, I handle the money, and we had two kids in college at the time.
