I made a purchase yesterday with a major online vendor in our line of interest. In order to confirm that I was really who I said I was, my name, address etc. was, according to the screen during the process, used to see if my identity made sense. The only way that would work is if all that personal stuff is already out there to be checked. Interesting eh?

I was talking to someone about a particular product recently, like talking to them in person, and an hour later I saw the same product pop up on my Facebook feed. Never googled it, didn't search it, etc. How's that for scary shit?
